🎷 67 yrs young F, 5ft 4 Round 315 (my 245th).
Goals for every round;
- First and foremost, no feeding frenzies – I am not a shark or even a piranha!
- to weigh less at the end of the round than the start
- be happy because I feel that I have made the round count at the end
- to have a totally 10-day binge free round.
- Would like to lose a pound round.
I need to remain consistent - it does work! Good luck for success everyone.
Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and then gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then & didn't want to gain any more, it’s taken me 75 rounds to achieve target of 130 = back to maintenance!! But then I crept up again, so need to get back to around 135. A healthy lifestyle must be a permanent way of life.
Updated 20.08.24 – I met up with youngest DB, first time after his DP passed away at the way too early age of 46. DB lives a long way from us, we see him very infrequently & is very introvert, so not a sharer of info 😞. However, he finally opened up to me, it seems that his DPs bad health leading to heart failure followed by kidney, liver failure & then a massive stroke, was originally caused by heavy drinking. By the time he realised he was abusing his body and went teetotal, the damage was too late to reverse. He was on the list for a heart transplant, but his other organs gave up before one became available. This has made me think about how I am abusing my body when I have binges with way too much sugar, fat & salt. I know I am a food addict. I'm going to try to think about this when I am tempted to overindulge, I need to start respecting my body more and think about whether I want to be in the best health I can be. My body has served me so well for 67 years, it deserves to be given the best chance to keep serving me well & I've been really lucky that life has not dealt me a raw health deal, so I must not jeopardize that luck.
I am the driver in my life & not the passenger, I need to drive my life to a healthy life."Health is wealth".
11/16 139.2 (trend 139.9) Very happy with myself this round, moved back into the 139’s (trend is there too today!), recognising that this 1.6 pound loss is due to consistency & no binge. Let’s see if I can lose another pound next round.
EW Rnd 314 139.2
SW Rnd 315 139.2
11/17 139.2 (trend 139.8) – invited by DD & family for Sunday lunch & day with them. Managed to get out early for a brisk 4 mile walk before we left for the hour and a half journey.

Just Give Me 10 Days – Round 315
Nov 17 - 26, 202564 year old female, 5’5”. I am married, semi-nomadic (we live in three states, Mass, Maine, Florida).
SW: 131.2
11/17 – 130.6 The 16th and 17th were crazy busy getting our condo as well as the building (long story) in order before we leave. Heading to MIL 200 miles north today.
11/18 – DNW Tried MIL’s scale. It weighed me at zero first time I stepped on. Second time was a big gain. Might be real, might be not. But I decided I’ll just see what my own scale says tomorrow morning. Today is flight day, then Uber to DD and pick up our car and kitties, and head home.

11/17: 146.3: I mostly stayed on track yesterday. Overall, it was a good weekend that didn't derail me. I got a lot of cleaning done and made some soup for throughout the week. I squeezed in a shorter than usual walk, but at least it was something.
11/18: 148.8. What?!? Very disappointed with this number, I have no explanation for it. My body fluctuates so much for no reason.

11/17 - 129.0 🏃🏻♀️ Starting this round higher than the last. However this is pretty good for me after a weekend. Today was probably a wash - ate close to or slightly above maintenance including eating my exercise calories. My lunch was accidentally huge and I still had snacks. Tomorrow’s a new day!
11/18 - 129.8 🏃🏻♀️📝🚫 This was a surprise gain, but perhaps still packing it on from the weekend. It is only Tuesday, after all, and we went to Buffalo Wild Wings to watch the Bills game on Sunday. Today my main goal is to drink a lot of water. Then at some point a dog walk and strength training.

What's worse is I doubled the recipe with plans of eating it all week…and it's garbage. I'm so sad. Even my hubby who eats EVERYTHING didn't like it. Oh well, live and learn. My hubby leaves on a work trip today so I am going to double down and stick to my goals. Based on my record, I go off the deep end into skip the dishes and door dash rabbit hole when I'm alone. ENDING WEIGHT LAST ROUND: 180.2
11/17-178.8 ✅ (Trend Weight – 182.1) Woot Woot! I’ve made it into the new decade of the 170’s. Now for the dancing back & forth over the line stage. I envision the scene of Jimmy Stewart and Donna Reed in “It’s a Wonderful Life” as George & Mary Bailey (before marriage) dancing to and from that line that opens to the pool. Legs dangling over the edge, poised to fall in, over and over. And they absolutely do. And I will too. Likely many times. However, I’ll try not to focus on the water but, like them, enjoy the dance. I’m so happy today I could scream! I’ve looked over my records for the past (many) years and traditionally I gain 2-4 pounds just in November alone. And then there is December…. However, I am going to focus on the fact that it’s mine to keep or mine to lose. I can decide.
🦃🦃🦃🦃 11/18- 179.4 ❌ (Trend Weight: 181.8) A bounce back up a bit today but I’m not sweating it. Still thrilled with recent results. I did finally scratch that itch for pizza yesterday but stayed within my calorie goal and hit all my macros. Probably not the best choice, but I’m over that craving so it can’t lead me into a “feeling denied binge”. Today I’m back on track with healthier foods planned. My goal is plenty of water and some extra movement. Lots of sleep last night which caused a bit of a late weigh-in, but I’m feeling rested and prepared!

11/17- 172.111/18- 171.4 - I'll take whatever I can get. I hit my water goal yesterday and, although food wasn't the best, it was certainly improved from the weekend and the scale shows my effort. Today is off to a better start - water intake is on track, food is improved, and gym is complete. There's hope for me yet!I did discover yesterday that 3 kiddos (oldest stepson, his best friend who lived with us a bit, and oldest stepson's on-and-off again girlfriend - all 20 years old so not truly kids) are coming to Thanksgiving. On that note, my goal is to actually stick to just a small amount of each thing I want which will be made easier by the need to ensure there's enough food for everyone. If I'm still hungry after eating slowly and there's something specific I want, I can go back for more. We aren't making a huge spread - ham, stuffing (BF's request), green bean casserole (because I demand at least one veg), deviled eggs (everyone but me loves them), baked beans, homemade dinner rolls, and pumpkin pie (and I'm not a fan of pumpkin pie so I can easily skip that). Not being a huge fan of about half of the offerings will also help me cut back - fewer things to try means I don't stuff myself trying a bite or two of everything and can "indulge" without going overboard on the things I most want. I'm really hoping to see progress mentally this year!

11/17: 171.7 📉I’m loving how this round ends the day before Thanksgiving. 🤣That could either be a good or a bad thing. 🤷♀️Got exercise in yesterday. I also made another new recipe—Salmon Cakes. I decided we need more Omega-3. In addition, we have lots of leftovers since I realized I misread the recipe and doubled it in the end. 😂
11/18: 172.1 📈No surprise. I had to get up extra early today. Such a busy day. Morning meeting, tap class in the afternoon, dinner out and theater tonight. Whew!
@deepwoodslady Yay 70s!!!🎉 Such a good feeling!
@SheilaBoneham and @quiltingjaine Yes! Knitting keeps me from snacking too! I think not only are my hands busy, but my mind is too. I just don’t seem to think about it.
@jrago47 So sorry your plan to have meals already made didn’t work out. That’s frustrating. But good for you in planning to have the meals made for your alone time. Hope you find something that works for you!
@Zaxa2021 Our bodies are strange! That is so frustrating to have a gain when you’re not expecting it. Hang in there! It will even out. Maybe sodium and water retention?

SW Rnd 315: 146.7
11/17: 146.3: I mostly stayed on track yesterday. Overall, it was a good weekend that didn't derail me. I got a lot of cleaning done and made some soup for throughout the week. I squeezed in a shorter than usual walk, but at least it was something.
11/18: 148.8. What?!? Very disappointed with this number, I have no explanation for it. My body fluctuates so much for no reason.
11/19: 147.7. I did lots of walking, ate well, not much snacking. I was hoping the scale would go back down a little more, but glad it's a better number than yesterday.

11/17 134.0🤸🏼🎾👣⏱️📖 ✅ I’ve not been able to kick the habit of over-eating after 5 tennis matches in 3 days. Pushing my physical limits, unfortunately limits my mental capacity to adhere to portion control. Note to self: Overly hungry combined with mental and physical exhaustion simply don’t mix well for this gal. Thankful to identity this pattern. Ready to start fresh again! #MindBodySoul #HSF
11/18 134.0 Looking forward to a good day. 🏆🏋️♀️ #MindBodySoul #HSF
11/19 133.4 🚫🏋️♀️I became distracted - did not prioritize … I had to run to the paint store since we finally found a painter and he starts today… Will be a crazy week preparing our Thanksgiving (we celebrate every year the Friday after Thanksgiving because DH family comes Fri vs Thurs since they all visit from out of town). They celebrate with their mother‘s side of the family on Thursday and then DH’s side of the family on Friday. We’ve done it for 20 years and it works well!
I did a lot of reading late yesterday. RE: health and habits… Still straddling “commitment” mode and slowly getting there. Apparently, my “decision” isn’t sticking. Weightlifting and structured walk has drifted and so my steps are WAY down over the last two+ weeks since returning from our hiking vacay. It’s not “food noise“ per se as I’m eating well - it’s simply energy / focus… and a commitment to all the additional movement my body needs. I’ll get there. It’s easy to slip into my previous life of not walking and lifting. 🚶♀️👣🏋️♀️are even more vital to my well-being than a perfect meal plan.
NSV: I’ve identified unimportant /meaningless detrimental distractions. (Things I have no control over) I will refocus today.
Sidebar: My friend that passed away from ALS… She planned her services well. She opted to be cremated & is home now… A small, intimate “Celebration of Life” will be in early January. She and her husband have a combined family of eight children & 20+ grandchildren… They live all over the country. She didn’t want to disrupt their holiday plans. This way, they can plan ahead. ❤️ I love how she planned this out…
