I've got to admit that I'm not a foul weather rider.Living in central florida the type of weather we're having ,3 days of wind & rain, is rare.Today is the worst torrential downpours with 50 mph gusts.Hopefully tomorrow will be better!
I've replied on your Bike trainers thread about which one i'd recommend - to be honest, IMHO they're the work of the devil - an instrument of self inflicted torture, but sometimes they're the only option.
For what it's worth, I took my own advice, decided to MTFU and get out there riding, even if it rained. So I did ride, and it did rain, and I did fall off the bike at a railway level crossing, and I do have 2 lovely patches of road-rash on my right knee and elbow now.0 -

Got to admire your Dedication Pam3 - there's no way in the world I could pedal that many miles on a stationary bike - I did 20 miles on saturday and that was my limit.0

I set my bike up differently. I turned the handlebar risers upside down. This allowed me to drop the Mountainbike style handlebars by about 5 inches.
I averaged about 1.5 miles per hour increase. Wooohooo!!
Made my ride 10 minutes shorter. ie...faster0 -
