Ok - managed to haul my butt out of bed and do L1D6 this morning! Always tough at 05:30am with the rain pelting down outside Getting nervous about heading to L2 - although everything apart from the pushups is starting to feel a lot easier.....
Debating ordering some Zumba DVD's for evenings when I get home!0 -
Day 3 today, can feel myself getting stronger and endurance improving
Sore glutes, calves and I can feel it a bit in my chest too somewhere! I do all my 30DS in the mornings before work. Last night I did a bit of pole training so TIIIRED arms this morning. Gonna do some hoop tonight as well.
Ok I have my measurements now;
Height; 5' 4"
Starting weight; 137lb
rib cage - 30.5"
belly at navel - 33.5"
thighs - 22"
Those are the bits I'm wanting to see change. My arms will likely get bigger as I don't carry much weight on them, and I'm happy with my hips and *kitten* As for chest, if it doesn't get smaller I'll be thankful haha!0 -
WOW this thread is crazy long already ! My shred hasnt arrived yet ! but to be fair i have a cold .. cant wait to start my 3rd round of the shred with you all0

Level 1 Day 3 done and dusted!!! Am I ever going to be able to do pushups on my feet...I feel like doing them on my knees will hurt forever!!!
I was so sore I almost didnt do todays workout - but after doing it I feel so much better and less sore - something I will have to remind myself tomorrow!!0 -

I felt the same - I still can't do a full set of "grown up" pushups, but I'm able to do a little more each day! I started trying on Day 4 and (only being on D6!) I can now do 6 grown up ones before going back to my knees.
The soreness does start to go - it doesn't feel like it, but it does keep going - you CAN do it!0 -
Day 2.. Completed.. Almost talked myself out of doing it this morning and decided to stop being an A-hole and just get to it. No more excuses for me.. Although I did try..
Well done you for talking yourself back into doing it!!! I found it a struggle to get out of my nice warm thickly duveted bed this morning. But a small cat leaping on your chest and miaowing in your face works wonders for getting you moving :laugh:0 -

Glad to see so many people on here joining the challenege! Doing anything for 30 days straight is hard....except maybe sleeping in!
I have been up since 5:20, goal was 5. Tomorrow I must get up on time. I will be running as well as 30ds because I am training for a half marathon. I will also be adding in 2 Jillian Killer Buns and Thighs per week and also atleat one Bob Harper Pure Burn Strength workout....so here's my "plan".
Monday AM :Run and 30DS PM:Killer Buns
Tues AM: 30DS and Bob
Wed: Run and 30DS
Thurs: 30DS and Bob
Fri: Run and 30DS PM: KIller Buns
Sat: Long Run (this week it's 8 miles) and 30DS
Sun: 30DS
This week will be off because of missing yesterday and also, I have a 5K race on Sunday, so my long run will probably be in Friday....but that's my plan. Days might get switched around but I'll post daily (I hope).
Better get moving...4 miles and 30 DS....here I go!0 -

I've done mine last night. I am getting better with those jumping jacks LOL. The calories burned on my pedometer was dissappointing tho. But sweat was dripping off me. So I know I burn more than that.. I even do the 6 week six-pack. I FEEL GREAT THIS MORNING. :laugh:0

Day 1 - Level 1 completed last night sorry I didn't post!! Yesterday was a very stressful day for me and I find that when I am stressed I want nothing to do with exercising!! However I sucked it up and pushed thru it YAYY :drinker:0

Just finished L1D2. One word. PAIN.
Those squat-and-presses and side-lunge-and-lifts HURT. It takes so much motivation to keep going and not stop.
Got my new Heart Rate Monitor yesterday though, so I'm actually okay to be working out just to play with my new toy I got the Polar FT7 and it's amazing!
Feel free to add me as a friend I think I only have about four on here so it'd be nice to have some more!!

So did day 2 level 1 today and my legs are killing, managed it much better toay so im already getting stronger. Loving the support on here, gives me more motivation to keep going!!

I will be shredding later today, it's my son's 7th birthday today so I have a mad day of rushing aorund and getting things sorted for him, he has a little party with some school friends right after school then my friends and family come round in the evening, so it'll be non stop for me today.
I will shred this afternoon if I get time or when everyone has gone home tonight, or if all else fails I will shred TWICE tomorrow!!
My arms and chest feel like I did something yesterday, I have a love hate relationship with using 6kg (2x3kg)weights on the shred!!! BUT IT WORKS!!!! :laugh:0 -

yesterday was my 1st day of shred, i feel GREAT! only minor soreness in my arms and chest. just enough to make me feel like i did something.:bigsmile:
i have an exam today and another exam tomorrow but I am determined to do my shred later today and also to attend a kickboxing class tonight and aerobics tomorrow (people still do aerobics?) lol!!!:laugh:
i also need to post my measurements but i fear i will be sooo embarrassed. i haven't seen my numbers in so long. :sad: :blushing:0 -
Day Two Level One Done!! God, my legs hurt so bad. I could barely get in the car to come to work, and now I'm walking real funny. I hope this gets better tomorrow. Any tips on how to get the soreness away? I heard as long as I get a lot of protein in my diet it helps.

Post it under circuit training.
L1D2 done, plus 20 minutes on the treadmill. 401 calories burned per HRM. No major soreness except for a tiny bit near the upper chest arm area. I guess the routine I was doing before was doing some good. :happy:0 -
Day 2, Level 1 done (actually 8 days now). Actually felt very tired in the beginning, but I pushed through. Only had to do girly push-ups for the second set and I'm proud of that! Good job everyone!! Be glad your sore because it means you're working something hard!0

Getting myself motivated to face Jillian today. I'm sore, but not as sore as I expected. I think all the stretching in my Yoga Bootcamp helps. Although I'm really happy that today is a rest day for Yoga, they really don't lie when they call it bootcamp. I have to do like 4000 stairs for another challenge group this week, so I think I'll double up on that since there will be no yoga tonight. Hopefully that's a good idea lol, my legs may think otherwise but meh. It'll be worth it.

Still as sweaty as ever!! lol.
I wonder when a good time to advance to level 2 is?? When you can do all the exercises the advanced way?? Or when you're not sore anywhere anymore?? Or when you sweat less?? What do you think?0 -
Well...I will be starting day 2 on level 1 in about 15 minutes. I woke up VERY sore in my legs, and chest. I will admit, I wanted to just give up the workouts without even getting up out of bed first. Even going to the bathroom was hard on my legs. I can't imagine how the lunges will be. But logging on here...and reading everything from people who finished day 2 already HAS given me motivation. I know that I just have to push through. I'm off to go change my little one...and get him situated for the next 20 minutes so I can begin! Ohhhh boy...haha. I'll check back in after.0

Day 7...Day 2 with all of you. Shred will happen during afternoon nap time but I find committing to it here first helps me power through and really do it. Yesterday was a bit rough because I started shredding without realizing that I hadn't eaten anything more than my vitamins and 2 cups of coffee plus 2 glasses of water. I had to stop, eat, digest and start over again. I think I'll be hitting up level 2 today. How is everyone tracking? I was putting down about 200 calories burned with shred but notice others are tracking more around 160-190? Any insights? I don't have a HRM so anyone 130lbs, 27 yrs old who can give me a hint as to what they are tracking would be great. Thanks and welcome to day 2 everyone0
