I sill like the idea of the Fun group...and the "Other" group.

BUT IM NOT NAMING ANY NAMES THIS TIME!!!!!!!:flowerforyou:

Really? Come on. Just because we all don't share the same humor, doesn't mean one group has more fun than the other. It means we find fun in different ways. And why isn't that cool?

I will join many groups... since I have multiple personalities.

I might start a KILL FATTY group. Wait - that would mean I would have to kill myself. How about KILL FATTY CELLS?

Hmmmm. I may need to think on this for a while. :drinker: Tonight - at the pub. Before I sing the hell outta some Adele.

The problem exists when one group doesn't like the other's humor and makes a stink about it....It's not a difference in opinions and humor...it's other people policing other adults on the site. Just my two cents.

I think that's very cool. My familly knows me better than anyone and they think I'm a very fun person.

Just out of curiosity, who is planning on starting a group and/or what type of groups are you hoping to see here? :glasses:

One where you can have an adult conversation without Gladys Kravitz watching over it or complaining.

I would have to agree. Also coming into play on this is when you try to voice you own thought, idea or opinion some people get insulted and pout about it and think your verbally attacking them.

I'm not really looking forward to groups.

Like most things in my life I need friction for it to be fun ;) I love debate, I love challenging opinions, I love well constructed arguments. I need some one to push against me to bring out the best in me. I don't do very well in environments where everybody tends to agree like nodding dogs and spend their day saying "I love you....no I love you...you're the greatest....no you're the greatest".

How about The Guttergang? You know...a fun, jovial group of funny, sort of dry, sarcastic people who don't cross the line...but maybe inch towards it on occasion but mean no harm towards anyone. Having a gutter humor isn't a bad thing if within reason!!

I won't start one, but I hope to join some. I'm hoping to be in a group that can openly discuss religion, whether it's inspirational quotes or theology in general. I'm not hoping for just like-minded people, either. I like to dialogue with people of different backgrounds and beliefs. It will be nice to be able to discuss things that we can't on the public forum.

I think there are whole websites where you can do just that. How about we focus on health and fitness on this site?

Because life doesn't have to revolve entirely around health and fitness. This place would be pretty boring if every topic was just about calories, carbs, fad diets, etc.

Isn't that why the creator(s) of this site also created the "Chit-chat, fun and games" forum as a part of this site? C'mon, a good laugh burns calories too :flowerforyou:

Stay out of Chit-chat if that's your goal.

Agreed, it would be very boring and we do get off-topic which can be fun, but there is a reason religion doesn't make for polite conversation. All i am saying is that if you feel that strongly about religion and need to discuss it there are vehicles out there far better than MFP chat threads. Where you don't have to be subjected to the opposition, which as we have seen can turn into a sh-t fight:bigsmile:

I'm sure someone will start a "married people flirting with other married people" group or a "married people sexting and picture exchange" group.

I'll start one in which we rarely bother to speak to each other.
