Recipe swap is a fun group where every week two recipes are shared by our members to be cooked by everyone else in the group!
Recipe Swap Week 5: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/370911-recipe-swap-week-5
If you make a recipe from week 5, please post your review of it on that post.
THIS WEEK ekusumo AND Thirstygirl ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR SHARING RECIPES FOR THE REST OF THE GROUP TO MAKE.
Hopefully the recipes are posted today or tomorrow.
1. Sign up by making a post in this thread and I will add you to the member list.
2. Every week there will be TWO recipes/meals submitted by two members. Each member of the community should make the recipe and post their opinions about the recipe/meal, changes they may have made, etc.
3. Each week there will be a new recipe swap post on the MFP boards. This post will be the place that the members responsible for the recipes for the week will post them as well as the place where you should comment about the recipes/meals you cooked. If you make any substitutions or other changes in the recipe, tell us that as well. And by all means, if you take pictures and want to share them, do!
For more information and for the recipes from last week and the member list, check out here: https://docs.google.com/a/u.pacific.edu/document/d/1fqBAaFmtHqOq76VlmyASTE8LX-FnUnYWCYY7QTu6q1o/edit?hl=en_US

Love to see more recipes.0

Sounds good - what can you use instead of Bisquick? Regular flour? I guess this is just to thicken the beans a bit first?
Might give it a shot if I can make a smaller version and/or freeze it.
Thanks!0 -

1 cup flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon shortening, oil, or melted butter0 -

I think it's just going to be one recipe this week.
Keep in mind, I always remind the individuals the day before and the day of the swap. If someone fails to share their recipe they get removed from the group, but welcome to rejoin.0 -

In the oven as we speak, we got a late start, had to do some Trick or Treating 1st. I also put the Nutritional numbers in the database.0

The bake turned out great, it was super simple to prepare. I only added one thing. Since I only used about half the taco mix with the turkey, I sprinkled my Bisquick with a little bit of the left over seasoning. I used vegetarian re-fried beans and fresh salsa from my grocers produce section. I accompanied the bake with some Spanish style rice, that added 180 calories to dinner. Guess what's for lunch tomorrow. Thanks for sharing the recipe, its a keeper. I would post a picture if I knew how.0

I will definatley be making this next week, sorry for being slow0

Made this last night and had it for lunch today. VERY VERY GOOD. My husband and my mother/father in law loved it. My kids were not fond of the refried beans!!! Too bad! I will definitely make this again - it made great leftovers that were quick to pop in the microwave. Nummy! How many servings would you say. I said 6.BURRITO BAKE~
