you can make it like tuna salad. add some mayo/mustard or whatever you like, green onions etc. add into a sandwich.
it's also decent tossed into a salad.
or just open up the can...and dig in.0 -

How did you make your patties??
I Usually add 1 egg and some breadcrumbs (or crushed crackers) and cook them on my electric skillet. Little bit of ketchup for added flavor (im a ketchup-a-holic)0 -

^^ This. Or I put it over a bed of spinach and squeeze fresh lemon juice over top for an awesome salad.0 -
I cut out those bones in the middle of it. Put it in a pan with olive oil, garlic and a can of tomato sauce... season with onion powder, salt and pepper. Cook it up and I serve it over brown rice.0

Fish cakes - canned fish, mashed potatoes (or half potato / half cauliflower) of equal volume mix them thoroughly and pan-fry or grill them. Yum.0

Make a salmon loaf. It's like meatloaf and was my favorite dish growing up! All it takes is a little egg, skim milk, salt & pepper, and some crushed saltine crackers. I think I found my current recipe on allrecipes.com. Yum!0

Things i make with canned salmon:
- a breakfast favourite of mine is canned salmon (drained) on wholegrain toast spread with pesto with a bit of fetta cheese crumbled onto.
-Salmon sushi rolls or japanese rice balls. Use with salad ingredients if making rolls. If making balls just spread a square of sushi rice (preferably brown if you can get it) on some plastic wrap. Sprinkle with sesame seeds. Put salmon in the middle of the square (it can be mixed with mayonnaise if you can spare the calories). Then fold the rice around the salmon using the cling wrap so that you have a tight ball of rice completely enclosing the salmon. Roll in more sesame seeds then if you like wrap a strip of nori seaweed paper around it.
- eat it plain with cracked pepper
- have it in a sandwich with salad.
- replace tinned salmon for tinned tuna in any recipe. Eg. tuna bake0 -

tinned salmon doesn't last all that long in my house. So yummy. And so good for you too with all those omega 3s...0 -
I used one last night in some fat free sour cream to make a great cream sauce for pasta! Add some veggies or curry powder, whatever you think would work. I added a bit of wasabi horseradish!0

I use almond milk, sweet potatoes and spelt flour but I love this.
Wild Pink Salmon and Broccoli Chowder
Ingredients:
1 can (150 gr/5.3 oz) Wild Pink Salmon
1 Tbsp (15 ml) butter
1 small red onion, chopped
1 Tbsp (15ml) flour
1 tsp (5ml) fresh thyme, chopped or ½ tsp (2ml) dried
2 cups (500ml) hot milk
1 cup (250ml) potatoes, cooked and diced
1 cup (250ml)broccoli flowers, steamed
¼ cup (50ml) grated parmesan cheese
Fresh chives, sliced for garnish
Freshly ground black pepper
Preparation:
Melt butter in a large saucepan over medium-high heat
Turn heat down to medium and add onions. Sauté for 2 mins, making sure not to brown
Add flour and stir until onions are coated, then add the thyme
Slowly add milk, stirring constantly until the mixture is thick and creamy
Add salmon, potatoes, broccoli and heat through
Serve into bowls and sprinkle with parmesan cheese, chives, and black pepper0 -

My husbands family make salads with it....
the first is:
Salmon, red onion -chopped, fresh squeezed Lemon Juice, Xtra Virgin Olive Oil, and Sea Salt.
We tend to eat this with plain toast no butter.
the second is more like an actual salad as it includes tomato, lettuce and cilantro/coriander.
You just add these ingredients to the ingredients to the above salad and your done.
We eat this with rice.0 -

Salmon Cakes
Ingredients
2 strips bacon, cooked until crispy, crumbled, bacon fat reserved
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 egg
1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/2 lemon, zested
1 (14-ounce) can wild salmon, checked for large bones
1 baked or boiled russet potato, peeled, and fluffed with a fork
1/4 cup bread crumbs
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan
Freshly ground black pepper
1/2 cup vegetable oil
Directions
Heat 1 tablespoon of the reserved bacon fat in a small saute pan over low heat. Add the onions and cook until translucent. Cool the onions for a bit.
Mix the bacon, onion, egg, mayonnaise, mustard, sugar, and lemon zest in a bowl. Add the salmon and potato, mixing gently after each addition. Form the mixture into 12 small patties. In a shallow dish, combine the bread crumbs, Parmesan, and pepper, to taste. Coat the patties in the bread crumb topping. Heat 1/4 cup of the oil in a large saute pan over medium heat, and cook the salmon cakes in batches until golden, about 3 to 4 minutes per side. Add more oil, as necessary. Arrange on a serving platter and serve.0 -

I use it in salads, with baby spinach, tomato, avocado, Newman's Own Light Honey Mustard dressing and a sprinkle of shredded mozz. I was addicted to this for days!0
