Good Morning all!
We've seen a drop in numbers so I'll try to bump this up in hopes of more publicity. It would be nice to have some new faces around. Not that I don't like you're faces:laugh:
I'm at a standstill again, but I'm ok with that considering how the past couple of weeks have been. Still better than a gain!!!

Just remember, one day at a time.

  • I forgot, does anyone want to do a challenge?
  • Kacee- I would LOVE  to do a challenge. Great job with the maintaining, that is awesome seeing as you had all the craziness of babies everywhere, no computer to log calories, and a toddler! :flowerforyou:

Oh PS- im not weighing in til next Tuesday, I made my scale take a hiatus, seeing as I am becoming obsessed with it :blushing:

Maybe if we start of up some challenges we will get more takers.

I do love your title. I have to share that I recently went shopping and bought a size smaller pants. They were pretty snug and now when I were them they sag and fall off. I went from a size 18 to a size 14 woohooo!!! What kind of challenges do you do?

Every Tuesday we weigh in, but starting this week we are going to do weekly challenges as well. Punkinheadsmomma is our fearless leader so stay tuned to hear about the challenges. We would love to have some new faces join our group. :drinker: It's nice to be held accountable to someone and to figure out our shortcomings with our weightloss on here, and that is what are group is all about. A support system as well as being held accountable.

Hmmmm... Any challenge at this point would be welcome! I am at a stand still, but I know it's because I'm either skipping meals, like breakfast, or eating my dinner at 9:00 at night and starving... I am going to be posting my meals again, so if anyone wants to join me, I would definitely be happy for the company. No hints, Meg. Because I wouldn't want to force, Meg, anyone, Meg, into joining me, Meg, on the misery, Meg, Meg, Meg...

I hurt my right shoulder, and have been trying to keep it easy with the exercises. This week will be focused more on cardio, because doing push-ups with P90X is killing me!!! I also caught a cold from my little one, but since it's all in my sinuses, I can still work out!!! I am going to get to 20 pounds down by next week, everyone hold me accountable!
  • Challenge: Well I was thinking of jogging. Since there are some members that either have done 5ks or are working toward that goal I thought maybe we could give them some support. I know personally that jogging scares the crap out of me, so maybe it's time to step out of the comfort zone of work-out DVDs. Now since not all of us are in good weather or a good location (I live in the boonies and am still paranoid about people seeing me jiggle:noway: ) I think it should be said that this can also be done in doors. So for those of us that don't jog regularly, challenge yourself. Even if it's just 30 seconds on the treadmill and then back to walking.
Never jog : Let's see if we can get 2 full minutes in a day.
Sometimes in short spurts: How about 5 straight minutes
Already jog : Let us know how much and then make a goal to add on a couple extra minutes.
Lucky Lep : We all know your 5K success, so you're challenge is to be patient with us:laugh:
  • Ari -- Yes it is WEEK 13 !!!!!!!!

Sorry I forgot to put that in, I hadn't had my coffee when I started the thread this morning:laugh: It is a major milestone and yes you should be proud. Don't worry about not weighing in. Passover is THE biggest holiday for your faith, so don't worry. Focusing on your family and the holiday is more important than the scale, it'll be there when you're ready for it:wink:

    WEEK 13 everyone. WEEK 13!!!!
Ari would like everyone to know it's WEEK 13:laugh:
  • Ok Im in for the challenge... I will be doing the 5 min straight of running starting tomorrow, since I have class til super late tonight. But I will still do my normal workout tonight when I get home.

Resa- you crack me up! I promise I will be good now
Breakfast/brunch- coffee with no sugar vanilla cream, 1/2 c homemade oatmeal with a shake of cinnamin and 1 packet of splenda, 1/4 c of almonds, 10 green olives
Early dinner- applebees cheddar jack mac n cheese (only 453 cals!) diet coke
Late/pre workout dinner- 2 c steamed broccoli, with low fat cheddar cheese
I'll edit later if Im still low on cals :glasses:

    Welcome back everyone!

My weight goal is to be out of the 160's by next week :drinker:

Okay, so once again I haven't had breakfast yet, but I will be having a protein shake and a banana here shortly... I will definitely try to do the challenge, Kaycee!!! Bear with me on trying to figure out when to do the actual runs, though... I have Plyometrics tonight, and I can usually guarantee I'll be walking really funny, so I don't really think running afterwards will be an option...

I'll put in the calorie total later, but will be posting my meals throughout the day...

Missed everyone, and I'm so glad we're all back!
  • Ok I'm back, had to doctor some sick calves. Are we doing the tell everyone what you're eating thing? K fine, but no promises on how faithful I'll be. It's hard enough to log all my stuff, let alone share. Anyway. Breakfast: coffee, light yogurt with 1/2 cup grapenuts.

I am kicking my butt in gear cause I think we are going home to visit family in June and I want to be at 175. Also I am wearing all size 12's, down from size 18's. I am so excited. I already try the running but I will add a few more min. I love 5K's but am horrible at running. I just did 30 day shred for the first time. I have had the DVD for a long time. I really liked it. Burned 183 calories in just 27 min. I was glad with that. Well I can't promise posting my food everyday cause I am taking an online class, and my daughter has something almost every night of the week.

  • Well I don't think I got as much running in today as I would have liked, but I did chase a few calves around. One even chased me -- LMAO.  Little head-butting bawling thing. It was hilarious!!! Anyway, hope everyone had a great day!
  • Aaaaaaaaaaaaah!

I've not been having a very good last few weeks.

I'm not even sure how many weigh-ins I've missed here.

I didn't weigh myself this week. And the last weigh in I had was another maintain. (196lbs)

Then came the Easter candy. I overdosed on red vines tonight, even after I worked out super hard and told myself I would do well this week.

I'm super sore from the workout I did yesterday, too. And I have a huge bruise on my leg from falling during it (which was only due to my own stupidity, lol).

 I feel really discouraged on the weight loss front. And also stressed out about other things going on and getting ready for a trip this summer to go take care of my grandmother.

At least I'm sticking with the exercise though, that's something, right? :frown:
  • Livi- Completely correct, working out everyday is a huge accomplishment and will get you that much closer to your goal. Plus you havent gained anything!

Kacee- I can only imagine all the fun you must have chasing babies around, I wish my job was that fun

Christine- COngrats! Your weight loss is amazing :drinker:

I stayed within my cals today but got a tiny workout in :grumble: Cuz my jaw is killing me, every once in awhile it pops out of place and it take a few days for me to get it back. It kinda feels like this :ohwell:

Dont forget your runs tomorrow everyone!

I did a 10K while you were away!! I hurt my ankle and I suffered for a week, but I did the Darn thing. In an hour and twenty minutes:blushing: (SLOW)

I definitely wanna join in the jogging challenge. without another race on my calendar, it is easy to let it slide... don't wanna lose all that stamina:wink:

Welcome, Applepie!!! You'll love it here-we're all a little crazy, but we're definitely great for company!

    Hey Meg!!!
I have NO IDEA how many calories I ate today, unfortunately... I had some yummy ravioli at a local resturant... It had a chunky tomato sauce with barely any cheese sprinkled on top, whole grilled mushrooms, and a salad that I had with dressing on the side... All in all, I think it was okay... Small portions... But nothing that I can log in for calorie amounts. For dinner, we had breakfast, and I stuck with whole-grain pancakes with blackberry preserves(low sugar) on top... I also had 2 pieces of string cheese:bigsmile: . I think that I did well calorie-wise, but I just don't know what to put in as my lunch calories...

Off to do Plyo, but I think I'll also be running first to keep up with the challenge... I know if I do it after Plyo, my legs will be like jelly and I won't be able to function!
  • Hello Everyone !

Just got done with my run for the day :drinker: . I am proud of myself because I got up extra early before class just to do it even though my legs were really tight from plyo last night

Have a great day I will post later with my cals :flowerforyou:

I would like to be part of this group. How exactly does it work? I've been on the site since Jan but have never been part of a group so I'm not sure what I need to do. The jogging thing sounds like a good idea (I too am working on a 5k). I can run the whole thing but I want to improve my time. Okay, well look forward to finding out more.

PS LOVE your title. I recently fit into some clothes that I bought on a whim. I was a 14 and bought size 9 when my favorite store was having this major blowout season sale (switching from summer to winter I believe). I used to be a 5/7 before I had my daughter but I figured that might be pushing it so I bought 9s and hung them in my closet. I've been looking at those clothes everyday for about a year now. I finally wore those clothes I bought last weekend and it felt GREAT!! I believe I actually SAID Holy Crap! I fit into these pants!!

I would love to join this group. I have been on MF for a few months, lurked around the message boards but never joined a group. :-)
  • Welcome, welcome everyone!!!
applepie, K2T4e2n6 (can I ask what that stands for?) Roxy34, and kimlee!!!!!

In case you missed the other girls posts, we weigh on Tuesdays, but if you already have a set day that works better for you, then just post your loss on that day. We all pop in pretty regularly, so if you have any questions just ask! We've kinda been off and on with the challenges thing, so if they help, then pipe up so we can continue, also if you have any ideas for other ones that might help, just say so. Just because they call me fearless leader:laugh: doesn't mean this is my show!

Lucky Lep -- why am I not surprised? I shoulda known you'd go and show off again! Really a 10K? wow chica, that's amazing! Sounds like you and K2T need to hook up! Maybe the two of you can challenge each other, since you won't be getting alot of competition from me!!!!
