My back is feeling a bit better, I went to the chiropractor yesterday for a treatment.
I haven't been exercising. :ohwell:
Tonight we are going to a wedding so I hope to keep my calories in check.
After last night's disappointing dinner at a restaurant we ended up ordering a pizza :ohwell:
So of course I was up today in my weight, so hope to do well the next two days to get back down.0 -

My babysitter just quit on me out of the blue so after my mom leaves I wont have daycare, so basically am having to quit my job. The sitter I had was charging half of what other daycares provide and we were barely hanging on with that. So my best option right now is to quit. Makes me sad and happy at the same ti me. I will miss my job of caregiving for almost 5 years but love being home with my boys. Anyway, hope you all are doing well with your goals, I hope to have a decent loss this week.0

I know exactly what you're talking about. I have 10 grandchildren...and I provide the daycare and before/after school care for all of them. I'm a retired school teacher, and the last 5 years that I worked, I was a preschool teacher. I was able to bring my first 2 grandchildren with me to the school, and the school charged me half of what they normally charged. Luckily, I was one of the highest paid teachers at the time, so it wasn't so bad for me. However, when grandchild number 3 came around, I couldn't bring her....and at the time, my daughter and SIL were buying a house. It would have been such a hardship for them to have to pay daycare for infant care somewhere...plus a mortgage payment and all their other bills on top of that. That's when I sat down with my husband and made the decision to retire early and watch my own grandchildren. Ofcourse, I didn't anticipate their would be 10 of them at the time! But all 3 of my kids and their spouses own homes today, and even though I watch all their kids for them when they work (luckily I rarely have all 10 at the same time......but in the rare instance I do, the 2 oldest girls are 14 and 11 1/2, so they are a big help with all the younger ones), it still isn't easy for my kids with their big mortgages, and utility bills, and insurance, and food.....etc.
The cost of daycare, especially here in NJ where I live, is outrageous. When I taught preschool, I knew moms who got reduced rates because they didn't make a lot of money, but sometimes even a tiny cost of living raise would make them ineligible for reduced rates. So sad.
Hopefully,you will find a way to make things work financially and you'll be able to stay at home with your boys...or maybe you'll find another sitter that doesn't cost too much. I know my daughers and daughter in law all wish they could be stay at home moms.

i was sad when i quit my job to stay home with my boys....it was an adjustment(to say the least), but my children so benefited my from my staying at home...good luck0 -

Thank you so much! We are maybe planning just a courthouse wedding sometime next year so that we can save our money to rent a cottage on the North Shore in Hawaii for our honeymoon....which means I have to keep a bathing suit body!!!0

I busted my butt off exercising this past week...and I'm still at the same weight. I do this every so often it seems....I bet next week I kick out 3-4 pounds. ((Stupid body!)) Anyhow...I'm staying at 209. :sad:0

I weigh myself on my Wii Fit every Friday morning, and this morning I realized that I am only 6 pounds away from the "overweight" category. This is so exciting and a great reinforcement for me. The last couple of weeks I've continued tracking but was eating whatever I wanted, but on Thursday something clicked in me. I think it was the understanding that Thanksgiving and Christmas are right around the corner, and I don't want my weight to creep back up and I want to look good when I see my family for the holidays.
