    Well, I have good news and bad news...

    My aunt called last week to let us know she's OFFICIALLY CANCER FREE! And off of all the medication she's been on for the last 5+ years. That was the great news. The bad news is she wanted to go and celebrate at her local pub.

    We all ate terribly, I had a plate of fish and chips as well as some deep fried shrimp and scallops and two beers. I entered it all into my food diary, cringing the entire time, and figure I ate about 2000 for the day, which isn't too bad.

    Ah well. I'm realizing that I indulge far too much, even though I'm eating really well through the week, something usually comes up and I want to enjoy myself. I'm still losing weight, just very slowly. This week will be better.

    As long as your losing and not gaining your doing a great job. Maybe if you can the day after you eat a lot of calories that you didn't want to then work out hard the next day with lots of cardio... Your on the right track so that is very good... keep it up girl! :drinker: :flowerforyou:

    Well, right after this message I went out for a long walk to burn some calories, and I asked my parents to let me make dinner tonight, healthy stir fry, instead of my mom doing it. Managed to keep my calories low, burn off some, and drink lots of water to get the salt out, and I'm feeling terrific. Thanks for the motivation!!!

    I have a question for you guys.... Are you also taking body measurements too? If so how often? I started the same day the challange started and plan to do it every two weeks... So tomorrow I hope to see some inches lost! :wink:

    I took my measurements at the beginning of April when I started dieting, when I was 164 pounds. I'll measure again at the beginning of May. I don't think there is much change, but I'll let you know!

    I didn't even notice that she did... that's weird... I just hope everyone else that has joined decides to still stick with it! We are all here for each other so let's keep motivated and stay focused because summer is around the corner....

    Hey ladies, I'm not weighing in until Tuesday again, but I have great news. I bought a Polar F6 from Sports Authority and I am in love. I burned 650 cals. yesterday and 661cals today. That included about 80minutes on the treadmill and 5 ,10 minute solution session on my 2 DVD's. I can't wait to weigh in on Tuesday morning. Have a blessed week and thank you for just being here to listen. WHo needs a weight watchers meeting when you have friends right here!:flowerforyou:

    I am doing measurements once a month. The last time I took them was actually March 23 and I'll be taking them again on May 1. I'm pretty excited to see how much I've shrunk in that time.

    A HRM is a great investment, I never knew exactly how many calories I was burning until I got mine.... :bigsmile:

    Good job everyone. I have been exercising my *kitten* off and I think I'm going to take measurements today. I haven't taken any in about 3 weeks. I am hoping for some change!

    Hi- I'm two weeks late but would love to join the challenge if I still can.

    I am bummed out. I've been doing everything right. I even walked 3.3 miles on Saturday for March of Dimes. I think some of mine is water retention. :cry:
