1000 Minutes Challenge - December

We are a group of MFP's who have committed to doing 1000 minutes of exercise per month (minimum). We count minutes for all types of exercise: yoga, aerobics, walking, weight training, strength work, stretching or heavy gardening. You be the judge of whether it's exercise. We're here to support, encourage, and set challenges for ourselves. It's all about intention. If we don't make the 1000 minutes this month, there's next month to go for it. Newcomers always welcome!
Here’s how to join, plus some additional information:
• You simply post to join.
• You will keep track of your own minutes every month-see intro to see what types of activities count toward the total. If you join us mid-month, it's ok to try for a percentage of the 1000, e.g. join on the 15th, go for 50% or 500 minutes.
• Most people track on the days they workout, sometimes more.
• We try to encourage and support each other.
• Not many folks post on weekends but more post on Monday-Friday.

I'm so glad that I found this challenge. Although I am still trying to eat somewhat healthy throughout the holidays, with all of the parties and such, I am more focused on exercising as much as I can this month.

Working out a minimum of 1000 minutes for the month of December is one of my monthly goals!! Glad to see there is a group for it0

I LOVE this! I will start today. I have a sore back, but I am determined to get it better and back on track. I started with 10 minutes of yoga this morning and hope to do some more yoga later today You'll probably see lots of yoga at first since the stretching helps heal me! Great idea0

I would love to join!
Yesterday ( 1st December ) I done 70 minutes of cycle, wii fit general and dance - total = 330 calories
Today ( 2nd December ) I done 25 minutes and done Boxing and burned 127 calories..
I am epileptic but will try my best at what I can do :-)

Walked 60.minutes this morning

Sounds good. I did 10 min's on bike, 23 min's circuit, 20 min's on arc machine. Then 40 min's walking at the mall. I also signed up at my gym yesterday for a weight loss challange that last 90 days. I think these chanllages will help my this holiday season (CHRISTMAS AND New Years). I wish everybody the best of the best work out you can have. Push your self 2 do more if your not seeing any (or just a little) results. That is what my trainer told me today. So I had to up the level's some and boy was I sweating. But doesnt it feel good to sweat. :flowerforyou:0

6/12/ = 50 mins burning 213 cals not too great today as symptoms of epilepsy..
