I think I want to quit

Pft. Whenever I'm down and want to quit, a good dose of HCG always gets me going again.0

You need to try Tae Bo.0

I understand this post, the author only wants to point out that scale isn't the most accurate tool to chart your progress. Anyway I salute your progess & its good that you're not letting yourself down with that damn scale, which is the mistake many people do. My body fat percentage is 20-21% which is at the low end of the normal range but my BMI is somewhere along 22.5 range which is very normal though the funny thing is that here in Asia, it is considered as high normal already & I'm on the brink of getting "overweight". Although I'm not Asian & that the Asian BMI thing isn't applicable for everybody & is only suited for small-framed people but since I'm based here right now & it is the only standard they use so I have to contend with all those stupid readings that I get from the local health centers here.0

Throw the scale away! Your other measurements are way better!!!
Keep it up - there is a new life after being heavy. Congrats to you for finding it
I agree with this 100%. I ONLY get on the scale once a month....at the gym where I get measured as well. I do not weigh myself at home, it would DRIVE me NUTS. I refuse to be a scale slave,. You have FABULOUS results already, look in GREAT shape. Do the last few pounds really matter that much to you, IT"S JUST A NUMBER, right. :flowerforyou:

I know I hate that!!! I'm overweight too according to the BMI scale. Stupid scale! I'm comfortable at 140, but the BMI scale says I have to be at 136 to be considered health.. hm.I'm confused by your post.. are you trying to motivate others or are you wishing your scale would move??
Oh do not worry about me. I was just ironic. Can you believe that I actually am considered overweight if I go by my BMI?0 -
If you are a size 2 you should quit. That is TINY.0
-
Makes me feel better. Because I'll lose inches and tone up and feel great and then the BMI says I"m fat and it just PISSES me off! Good job!0

I am also 4'11". My doctor told me I could still lose 5 to 10 pounds but I just want to go to 18% body fat.0 -
I'll NEVER be a size 2. I think I'll quit, too!!!0
-
I seriously love this.0 -
What amazes me about the responses in this thread, is that people must really believe in the scale as the Be all End All of measurement. You show how many way better measures of your success, and sarcastically say you want to quit, and people get hung up on that. I don't get it.
As always, you're a great inspiration for me, sharp as a tack, funny as hell, and hot as can be. Go you!0 -
LOL... I started getting really frustrated at the beginning of your post and then read to the bottom... Great job!0

You're so amazing. Thanks for this.0

Excellent job on your progress. That's a huge difference physically, and the emotional well-being changes aren't to be ignored either. Thanks for inspiring others.0 -

She's quitting, she'll never make it to one handed grocery carrying.0 -

Wow.... some people need a lesson in "reading sarcasm 101".
More like a lesson in reading the entire post before they go on their own diatribe. I will never be a size 2, but I'm gonna keep going until I get as close as I can...*kitten* what the scale thinks!0 -
Sadly, some of this going on here...
:laugh:0 -
I have the same problem. I am a size 2, have been keeping track of what I eat for prob a year now and am at a constant weight of 118.6. I would like to be a few lbs lighter but my body is happy where it is it seems like when I do drop a little, something kicks in on its own and I gain it back. I look good and cannot complain at being a 2 ! So either a) I am at a goal weight stop complaining or b) I need to adjust further in my eating (which, granted I could eat better) or c) kick more butt when I exercise, maybe do it longer. Let me know if you find the answer!!!0

I think that's the problem not reading the entire post LOL!!!0 -
Well said!
This! If the scale doesn't move, but my stomach no longer feels the need to introduce itself to the steering wheel when I drive, I call that success! Numbers on the scale are nice, but clothing fitting looser and being able to get up off the floor easier is great!0 -
