What are your goals for next year?

I never really thought of goals for next year. I have not even thought of a goal at all. Just kinda starting out in this and taking it one step at a time. I just realized that it scares me to death to consider a 1 year goal because I am too afraid that I wont make it. How about this for now. I want to HAVE to buy a new bathing suit this summer because the old one falls off when I wear it.
Your goals dont have to be year long, but it certainly helps to have realistic goals. I definately recommend small goals at first. I remember wanting to be able to do 20kg dumbell presses or unassisted pull ups. Now my plans are bigger!

-To lose 20ish pounds by February
-To be a little toned by March
-Run marathons through next year (first time)
-To be able to do 30+ pushups.... Regular pushups not girl pushups!
-Get my degree
-Meet a few of my MFP friends hopefully0 -
Run a half marathon
Cycle London to Paris
That should keep me going :happy:0 -

Run some more races 5k, 7k ,10k
I have been thinking along those lines.0 -
1.Keep going with my workouts
2.Eat Better and be more strict on logging
3.Purchase INSANITY, HRM, and cross trainer shoes
4.Start and Complete C25K
5.Run/Jog atleast 1 5k race0 -
Continue with my clean eating and cal logging. Once I reach my goal weight (190) I’ll get back to lifting heavy and often. Basically get ripped or die trying ...0

My health/fitness goals:
Run my first 5k (For me that would be huge!)
Get to my goal weight and improve my lifestyle to one of health
Continue with clean eating and portion control.
Help my sister succeed in her journey as well as well as be an inspiration to my best friend who will hopefully get a grip on her obesity.0 -
I am writing in this, so when I get a chance to figure out what I truly want to conquer next year and be able to put it specifically down.0

To lose 30lbs0

Maintain weight loss for more than a year (3 months so far)
Beat my 1/2 marathon personal record of 1:55:07 (that I set this year)
Complete Sprint triathlon in less than an hour (3 mi cross country, 6 mi bike, 400 m swim... did my first solo one this year in 1:03:11... I usually do the biking leg)
Improve swimming speed, form and endurance.0 -

1. Stay healthy without meds
2. Eat right
3. Exercise regularly

My birthday is in January. I turn 29 this upcoming January. I REFUSE to be fat at 30! I have never really been thin. I want to make it there before I hit 30. I want to lose 45 (ish) lbs. I want to be between 150-160. Maybe lower if my body will let me. I just want to be healthy and feel pretty for one solid chunk of time in my life.0

My weight loss goals are to lose 40lbs by May 2012 and 90lbs by Dec 31st 2012. Have a healthy life style and continue to keep up my 4.0 grade point average.0

My goals are to lower my body fat %, run a few 5ks and a half marathon, and to generally kick *kitten* with whatever I decide to tackle.0

My goal is to drop another 50 pounds next year. Doesn't sound like much, but I can be sure I'l keep it off at that pace.
I also will learn how to stop listening to the negative voices in my head that keep telling me that I'm not worth real love, success, happiness ... and that learning may involve giving someone an ultimatum.0 -

Next year my goals are (so far):
Run my 3rd marathon, (looking for sub 4:15) in May.
Do an Olympic Distance triathlon in Sept. with a few sprints before that.
Finish a 5k in less than 24 minutes
Tone up everything more, see more definition in my arms and maybe possibly someday in my stomach?? :happy: I've had 5 kids so we'll see how this one goes...0 -
My Goals .......to loose around 60 - 80 more lbs. Finish my C25K programme on the treadmill get as many people to sponsor me to run a 5k race to raise money for a Welsh childrens Hospital ohh and bench press more weight than my son (cant see that happening mind lol) and with a bit of luck visit New York for my 50th Birthday :bigsmile:0

1. Lose at least 1lb per week! NO MORE GAIN OR STAND STILL!!
2. Be able to run again, or at least jog! When I was in HS I could run a 10 min mile.
3. Lose my belly pooch! I hate when I raise my arms and I see my belly YUCK!
4. Get pregnant
5. Be the fittest pregnant woman I know! LOL
