I have been married to my husband for 18 years and together for 25 years. We give each other a warm trip in February. This year will be a cruise around the Hawaiian islands. Priceless.0

yoga classes..
his b-day is the 29th so i have something more special planned for that0 -
Nothing, really. We don't really do presents. Most of the time we do adventures instead. :drinker:
Oh, we've been together for almost 7 years.
We do this, too!!
us too... almost 7 years0 -
Last year I got my husband a remote-controlled helicopter from Brookstone. He was like a little kid again - so excited.
I got one of these for my husband for his birthday. He LOVED it.0 -
This year, I got him a Frybaby. No way in heck I'm getting him the big one, he'd want us to eat fried every night. I'm thinking some cologne from just me, as well, but I haven't had time to smell any and the one I know I really like reminds me of an ex-boyfriend so I probably won't be getting him that. We've been married fourteen years.
Last year my husband got "me" a fry Daddy and I put on 10lbs. Since I do all the cooking I have not used it since I started this journey 20 days ago.
That sounds about right. I've already told him if we ever get one - he's been wanting one for ten years - I won't be using it, he'll have to do the cooking those nights. I have enough weight without adding that.0 -
*HOPE MY HUSBAND DOESN'T READ PAST THIS*
I got my husband a pair of fleece lined pants (we live in a colder part of the country), and I also signed up for a 10 day trial of ordering video games online (gamefly.com) and I'm borrowing a wii from a friend so he can play the latest Zelda since he really wants to and I don't want to buy a wii!
Last year I got him mixing bowls since ours were bad and he likes using them.
The year before that, I got him a warm pair of slippers - he goes through a pair a year, but he loves them!
Other things to think about:
hobbies
outings/games
joint activities (ie, nice restaurant, mini golf, movie tickets, etc)
It's hard but keeping a list of the "oh I want that" stuff throughout the year helps!0 -
been together for 17 years - he never "wants" anything, so I usually buy books or videogames - this year bought him a nice set of headphones with integrated mic for the xbox (he currently has to wear his headphones OVER his mic headset when playing ... funny to see, but can't be very comfortable lol)0
-
He's a cigar aficianado, so I got him an assortment of nice cigars and a new cutter.0
-
Iphone 4gs and a tin of ghost peppers!
+4 years.
[In the past I've gotten him a trip to Cancun and Las Vegas]0 -
This year I got him his favorite work out shirts (under armour), two containers of the protein that he uses, two boxes of his sport vitamins and an under armour "leak proof" bottle so he can mix & take his protein w/ him. He's all about fitness this year, so I stuck with that theme.
Last year I got him a portable cook out grill and Omaha steaks with a bunch of other snacks and stuff.
The year before that I got him "ale in the mail," which is a monthly delivery of 12 different beers from around the world. I also got him a gigantic engraved beer mug.
My memory is failing me now....I can't remember the rest.
Hope this helps!0 -
Last year I got my husband a remote-controlled helicopter from Brookstone. He was like a little kid again - so excited. My father in law and brother in law immediately went out and bought their own so they could all play together...LOL!
If you buy one adult male a remote control toy, you have to buy them all one, or else feelings get hurt.
We all got Xboxes one year.0 -
I have been with my boyfriend for almost 10 months. I bought him a new coat (his is really worn out), 4 seasons of NCIS (his favorite show), and 2 huge feather pillows (my favorite pillows that has been trying to steal from me for the past few months).
His birthday was Dec. 1st and I bought him a big portrait that he wanted and bought him a book. I also got us tickets to go to Biltmore that weekend.0 -
I got him an iPod for his bday in September, so I couldn't splurge on him for Christmas this year - got him an Oakley fitted cap & Oakley tshirt. Last year I got him a Citizen watch.
We've been together for 3 years :-)0 -
My husband and I have been together 5 years and married 2.
I got him a PS3 for Christmas this year. He's been asking for one for a few years now. I also got him a couple of games for it, a Hedley CD and tickets to their concert in March and some small stuff (a watch, cologne & soap and slippers). I still need to get him something from our son (he's 4). I'm thinking a remote control helicopter.0 -
Bf and I have been together about 6 years I got him:
Assasin's Creed Revelations
Lap Desk and Fan for his lap top
Sweater/shirt and pants (he won't buy him self new dress pants because he wants to lose weight, so far its not working)
Book on maps (he's a cartagrapher/gis specialist)
Pathfinder game0 -
Been married 40 years - I got him a new iPod nano. His other iPod is wore out! Even after all these years he is STILL hard to shop for LOL.0
-
Me, tied up in a great big ribbon
and other things, but being as he is on here, I am not saying
Oh and we have been together for 7 years and married for 2 and a half0 -
I'm getting him Battlefield 3, and have a bunch of odds and ends that he'll find useful (a stylus to text better on his new touch screen phone, accessories for his hobbies) and a couple little fun things (Audobon mallard duckling toy that quacks- he loves ducks).
I was hoping to get him a reflex sight, but the one he wanted only has one distributor in Canada, they're backordered (2 ordered, but 3 orders for them, doh!), I can't order from the US, and others are either cheap POS's or really expensive. Hoping to figure out a way to get it for his birthday in January...
This is our second Christmas together, first one I got him a couple of shirts, a book that he remembered from junior high and wanted to find again, and a video game he'd wanted. - we'd only been going out about two and a half months then. He got me a Kobo which is one of my all time best gifts (avid reader).0 -
We've been together for 17 yrs, married for 14.5. I got him a machete (I really trust him LOL), a gift card to a sporting goods store where there's a gun he wants, two magazine subscriptions, a wii game, and several other smaller things I can't remember at the moment. We decided to mostly just get for the kids this year as money is tight and we don't want a bunch of clutter anyway.0

boyfriend? what boyfriend?0

I got my boyfriend (about a year) a few new pairs of jeans, a nice shirt, a waffle maker (his one actual request), a football and a flask that looks just like a pair of binoculars. He is really difficult to shop for.0
-
A couple of new Harley shirts and a watch! He broke the crystal on his watch this summer when we wrecked the bike and we haven't replaced it...
He buys himself whatever he wants WHEN he wants it so it's hard to get him anything!0 -
A Lyle and Scott 75 quid jumper! He has expensive taste lol, it's turned up and it's nothing special but ah well whatever makes him happy. Going to get him some Hugo Boss aftershave too, a book he wants and a few little surprises0
-
A watch winder for his Rolex, 2 Old Speckled Hen gift sets, whiskey rocks and a Star Ship Enterprise bottle cap opener. Yes, I married a geek and love him to death!0
-
We have been married for 13 divorced for 1 (still live in the same house). This year I am getting him an Oklahoma Joe's smoker for the back yard. He better be ready to smoke some brisket and chickens.0
-
I got my hubby a minifridge, 12 unique craft beers, fancy pilsner glasses, a garbage can that opens without being touched to recycle all those beer bottles in, and 10 assorted steaks from Omaha steaks!
And a memory foam pillow for him to flop into after party nights using above mentioned gifts.
Plus some silly stuff for his hiking fetish... special socks, a headlamp, a hand cranked led flashlight...
And probably some other things I cant remember.0 -
We've been together 4 years. Got him motorcycle boots he wants, new gloves to match, initialed cufflings (because whenever we go to a wedding he complains that he doesn't have them), and season 3 of sons of anarchy.0
-
I've been with my boyfriend for 8 Years.
This year I paid his Failure to stop for a stop sign ticket, I also got his a prepaid master card and the latest Batman Game.
Though I'm not sure what he's getting me since he has to pay the 700 deductible for my car since he took my car for a swim0 -
