How often do you eat fast food?

I have gotten so careful about what I eat..I am afraid if I say its ok on any level that It will become ok again for me..And for myself it was a hard habbit to break...if I am at a point in my schedule where I need something quickly, I have researshed a bunch of menus so I know what is as healty as I can get from fast food. for example, chicken breast sandwich, no mayo or cheese...a side of BBQ sauce if need be and a side salad with healthy dressing. My problem is usually no matter how healthy it can be it is always loaded with sodium..so drink lots of water.0

Lately my post guilt will not let me go there. It's been a couple of weeks0

In the last 6 weeks I think I've had two McDonalds (out of convenience), but I get a chinese every Friday night.0

it isn't where you eat, it is what you eat. I think all the fast food places have websites that breaks down the calories and nutrition. It is actually surprising how fatty and caloric some of the salads are! I have a droid, so I have all the nutrition sites bookmarked and when I do go, I just pull that up and see what is the best choice for me.McDonalds has a grilled chicken wrap that is tasty and low in calories. Try a parfait instead of a sundae....0

I get a 6 inch sub (chicken, lettuce, onion and cucumber, no sauce or cheese) every Monday but I have state training (coaching) and it's much better than the Maccas or Red Rooster (cooked chicken, not fried, but they have chips and so on) that the girls I coach get!
It's not the best option, but I take the longer route to work that day and am also on my feet for three hours constantly walking so I figure it's OK.0 -
I used to have a McDonalds once a week and that was after work on a Saturday. Since starting my weight loss (officially started 2 weeks ago), I haven't touched fast food and I don't plan on touching it for as long as possible!0

I have to be honest-- I eat fast food probably about 3-4 times a week, but I will always order either a salad or a grilled chicken sandwich with no mayo, and I'll usually only eat 1/2 the bun. You can eat fast food as often as you like as long as you modify it a little bit and stay within your calorie range. Believe it or not, it's not COMPLETELY bad for you. Just try to make healthier decisions. HINT: If MFP doesn't have the calorie content, the website of the fast food chain usually does. Wendy's, for example, allows you to modify your choices on their website to compensate for the calories you don't want to consume. Best of luck, babe!! Just try to stay within range.0

I like to say NEVER but I know that's not really feasible to most people. I have had fast food (fresco menu from taco bell, wendy's chilli, subway (salad or turkey sub on wheat) 5 times in 8 months. That's mostly because I don't really crave it. Even if I get hungry while I'm out, which does happen because I work for a dog walking company so sometimes I'm out a lot for extended periods of time, I keep almonds in my car. I remember how bad I felt when I ate fast food too - and so it makes me not even want it.0

well its up to the individual and how healthy/unhealthy is the fast food.. do u count subway as healthy or unhealthy. Some of the subs are high in fat and calories if u get a number of options. i normally eat subway 3 times a week i normally get a vegetarian wrap/foot long with no cheese so its just a salad sandwich. in Australia it suggests "extra foods/junk foods" max 2 times a week.
at MC Donald's the salads are okay just don't have the dressing. it is high in fat and calories.
their is nothing wrong with it, if you cant make food or you don't have time. Its about the food choice and what you think is healthy or not

I go maybe once or twice a month on average. My husband and I don't normally pick fast food as a meal option, but will stop when we are travelling and occasionally I'll go with a friend.0

Honestly.. this is supposed to be a lifestyle change.. and most lifestyles include some sort of fast food, because lets be real, you can's always cook for yourself.
For me personally, I don't eat that much fast food.. I much prefer to go to an actual restaurant then through a drive through. I sometimes get cravings for Culver's,Sonic, and Jersey Mikes Sub's but I haven't had Wendy's, McDonalds, Burger King, or Taco Bell in over a year.
I'd much rather spend my calories on a good desert, instead of fast food.0 -
i eat chipotle like once a month, saladworks 1-3 times a month (it is surprisingly low in calories and sodium), mcdonalds about once every 3 months.. sonic once every 3 months or so... maybe. i haven't had taco bell in a year and i've had chick-fil-a once in the past 4 years. as for any others, i've just never had it or don't care for it (like burger king).
i usually just make sure it fits into my calories and i'm good. but at the same time, i go and buy tons of stuff at the grocery store so i want to eat that. plus, while any fast food is filling at the time, in about a half hour i'm hungry again.
i mean, my diet is my diet - it's not going to change. obviously there will be times in my life where fast food is present and i just have to live with that. i could say i'm cutting it out forever, but what if i'm somewhere and need food and it is literally the only thing around? it happens. just gotta eat it and exercise!0 -
Very rarely. I would say I swing through a drive-through maybe once a month? We order in pizza maybe twice a month.0
-
I don't drive through anymore unless I'm travelling but I have a veggie sub from Jimmy John's for lunch 4 or 5 times a week.0
-
The only time I get fast food is at 2am and I've had too much to drink - that doesnt happen now that I watch what Im eating/drinking. (thank goodness). My weight BALLONED when i was going out drinking all the time.
There are so many great options that arent from a drivethru - like many people have already posted.0 -
I eat fast food at least once a week. I consider Subway to be a fast food chain. There are times when I eat there more than once a week. So I am the odd one here...I eat fast food ALL the time. Wish I could say I didn't and that I packed my lunch but I don't.0

I seem to end up in a rhythm of McDonalds twice a year, and perhaps visit some other fast food place once every other month or so. I do tend to buy prepared sandwiches at fuel stations though, so if that counts I have it about once a week and am really trying to be a lot more organised as I rarely crave them, just end up with it for convenience!0

Never :laugh:0

3 or 4 times per year maybe. Depends if it's necessity or not. Pizza, if you consider that fast food, 1 or 2 times per month.0
-
I eat it every week probably at least 2 times0
-
Well, first off it depends on what you consider fast food... If you're talking Panera and Chipotle, then I probably eat it a few times a month... If you're talking Burger King, McDonald's, Arby's, Wendy's and the like, then I haven't eaten it in AGES. I just don't enjoy it and I usually feel lousy afterward.0
-
Oh noz, you fast food eaters is all gonna die n stuff......it's poison!!!
Once or twice a week right around pay day :laugh:0 -
2-3 times a week, but it works out perfectly still.0
-
maybe once every 3-4 months... if that. and if i do, it's usually a salad or something grilled.0
-
I never eat fast food. And I rarely eat out.0
