Mine is Inge pronounced Ing-Ga. My nana was polish and it was her name. Most people call me Ing if they now me well enough. This is why im giving my kids names that are easy to tell how they are pronounced! Leo is hard to get wrong lol apart from when we got a card saying "Leon Ryan" instead of "Leo Riley"

My last name is Rowsell, pronounced like arousal without the first a. We often get Roswell, like the town in New Mexico where the aliens supposedly are.

Almost no-one's familiar with Roanne (unless they're know it's a town in France, which my parents didn't) so I gave up a long time ago - although getting called Miranda once when I answered an incoming call was a bit much!

    My name is Shaanda....

Most people either say HUH....or pronounce it like Shawnna, Shandra, Shannon, Shanquia, etc etc etc

I also get a lot of "Shaanda? Isnt that a black persons name" which btw I find really to be so ignorant....mostly because i've never even met another Shaanda so i have no idea what color of skin you have to be to have that name.

My maiden name was so easy and no one ever has trouble with my first name, but once I got married, I saw what my husband has always had to go through. Our last name is Caudill (pronounced Caw-like a crow sound dill-like the pickle). Most people say Caudle or Cuddle. Lol
