I have met Drew Barrymore (she was with Tom Green at the time, but really who cares about him??), Jerry O'Connell and Alan Thicke.

I looove Drew barrymore! where'd you meet her?

I met her at the Vancouver Indy - she was just walking around. I asked for her autograph and she said she would if I didn't mind walking with her. Unfortunately I didn't get a pic since my brother-in-law had taken it to get his picture with cheerleaders. :grumble:
  • haha I've been to so many MSI shows that they know who I am. Not sure how to feel about it

well for anyone who who is in hockey i went to school with Bobby Orr hope some Americans know who he is?

Did you have his autograph? He hates giving out autographs these days because people sell them, so they are really hard to come by.

I meet Alice Cooper! Got my picture taken with him and his autograph.. Made his coffee for him too ..
  • In Ireland, people have this strange begrudging thing where they don't want to give celebs a big ego and so they pretend to be all cool around them :) I've met Bono's wife Ali, Will Smith at the Cannes Film Festival, Michael Stipe from REM in Nice just walking through the street, had dinner beside Brigiette Nielsen; translated for Kirk Cameron from Growing Pains, Greg Germann from Ally McBeal in a pub in Dun Laoghaire, Rolf Harris, Irish president Mary McAleese and I have probably seen more when I lived in the south of France but never could recognise them - when my friend came to visit she recognised Michael Stipe and Brigitte Nielsen on the same day but who knows how many I missed when she wasn't there!

My famous and not-so-famous run in's with celebrities...

    - Donny Most (Ralph Malph) when he was in town for a celebrity golf tournament.
    - Loretta Lynn when she was on the same flight returning from Paris.
    - Prince! Well, he was standing 3 feet behind me, I nodded and he nodded back. That's about as close to meeting him as you can get without security detail all over you. :) In the 80's, I also almost knocked him over when cutting a corner too quickly at a nightclub.
    - Morris Day, Jimmy Jam, Jellybean Johnson and Jerome Benton when I went to The Time concert back in the 80's.
    - Jesse Ventura when he was the mayor of the city I lived in.
    - Virgil Hill (boxer) when he used to come by a restaurant I was working at in the 90's.
    - Eric Gales (guitar player) when we helped put a show for him in town.
    - Jonny Lang when he was just a kid and playing the bars.
    - The Beach Boys when I found myself in an elevator with them.
    - My family grew up a couple blocks from the Zimmerman's and my dad taught Tommy Zimmerman (Bob Dylan's younger brother). Tommy still calls my dad around Christmastime.

I'm sure there are a few others but my memory has faded. :)

Oh, I forgot about Steve Zahn (actor). We went to the same college and met at a party. That night is very hazy so good thing I wrote a little bit about it in my journal. Sounds like he had a worse night than I did. HA!

When I was in university (Trent in Peterborough, Ontario), my friends and I were a little hockey-crazy. :blushing: Go Petes Go!
So I have met Eric Lindros (after his career ended), Jason Dawe (I think he's washed up now. lol) and Ron Tugnutt (when he was still the goalie for the Ottawa Senators.)
I have seen Don Cherry fairly close up.

Players that I met/used to have autographs and/or photos of who were in junior hockey at the time and have since become NHL players include:
    Marc Savard
    Dan Cleary
Shawn Thornton (2 time Stanley Cup winner, including last year with the Bruins).

It's funny because I was totally obsessed with Thornton when he played for Peterborough. He was hot, and he was the team's enforcer. My friends and I never, ever dreamed that out of all the players on the 1995-1996 team, he'd be the one to make it to the NHL (and win 2 Cups!). Of course, all the photos and autographs I had of him, I threw out years ago!!

Here is my memento from the show. I threw this painting together during a one hour art class my senior year in high school and brought it to the concert that night. LOL!

I'm sure Scotty McCreery bagged my groceries for me on numerous occasions. He worked at the grocery store by my house.

Also, I took my husband to see Tracey Morgan's stand up while we were dating and made the mistake of sitting on the front row. He made some pretty crude comments about my boobs and repeatedly saying to my husband that he probably has sex with me a lot (but in a much more crude manner).

I've met Rob Zombie ^^ I gotz a hug from him too!

Did he smell bad? I imagine he would smell bad.
I'm weird like that, my daughters boyfriend is a celebrity photographer and one of the celebrities he works with is Kim Kardashian .... I've always thought, "I bet she smells good." so, I asked him and he answered (a bit too quickly, lol!) "Ya, she does!" and kind of looked surprised at the question but he remembered, so it must have been something that stood out to him. lol!
