 Great website, great recipes, thanks a lot! I try to cook when I can, but over the years learning to cook on my own, I never really found and "normal" good tasting diet recipes. They always use stuff like shark steaks and salmon, not food that my young son would eat. So Amy's cook books will be great. Here's to you for finding that website... :flowerforyou:

I too have a problem with being hungry often/not feeling full. I seem to have a high metabolism, so I eat about 5 -6 times per day. I have discovered a GREAT and filling breakfast option: Quaker Weight Control oatmeal. It has 3 g total fat (.5 sat.), 160 cal, 7g protein and 6g fiber. The protein and fiber are what keeps me feeling full. It comes in banana, cinnamon, and maple/brown sugar. I like to top it with some frozen fruit (thawed, or course) I sometimes just eat if for a snack. Hope that helps!

    I had 2 breakfast biscuits:
    2 biscuits: 50 cals each
half a Laughing Cow Swiss Cheese wedge: 18 cals
    2 Fit & Active turkey bacons: 30 cals each=60
1/4 cup (uncooked) egg substitute: 30 cals

    Total of 208 cals

Scrambled the eggs, cooked bacon until crisp. Place each biscuit into the well of an un-greased nonstick (12-hole) muffin pan. Press dough up the sides of each well to the edge. Pile on the cooked eggs on the biscuits, crumble bacon add ontop of eggs & add cheese ontop... bake @ 350-400 degrees until biscuits are browned.... yum!

I made a version of these tonight, with mushrooms, red bell pepper, and onion with the scrambled egg substitute, with feta cheese and bacon for the topping. With all the vegies, I only used 3/4 cup of eggs (90 cal), 1/4 cup skim mild (23 cal), 2 slices bacon (80 cal), and 1/2 oz of feta cheese (40 cal) for all 10 biscuits, so they ended up being under 200 cals for 2 of them! They are delicious!!!!! (I had still had some cals left for the day so I taste tested one  ) Good by lean pockets, hello to a terrific breakfast. I can't wait to try other combinations now.

Can't thank you enough, Joanna! :drinker: :flowerforyou:
