Heavy squats do work your upper body...they work your core, traps, and back. If you're not doing weighted squats...then no, they'd only work lower body. But who doesn't do weighted squats???

This
I would choose the Deadlift for basically the same reasons, it really does hit everything.0 -
Yoga for sure. I work 14 hours, sometimes 7 to 14 days at a time, I take my boyfriends son to school every morning, on my days off I pick him up in between cleaning the house and making runs to the grocery store, and I rarely get to see my friends or family. To put it simply, I'm stressed out.....a lot. The 20 minutes of yoga in the morning prepares me for my day, and the 30 minutes of yoga at night takes the weight of the day off my shoulders.
Agree, Yoga wins hands down in my book for the reasons above.0 -

Dance - ANY dance.0

I'd say either a squat/clean/press full body compound exercise as mentioned, or either the Turkish Get Up with a heavy kettlebell.
Yes. Squat clean + thruster compound. Works everything. TGU's are hard man!! I hate them!0 -
I sure have been enjoying bike riding! Especially when the weather is nice! I feel like a kid again!0

Kickboxing - its my favorite! I like turbo jam style or real kickboxing classes at the gym. Both fix my sweet tooth
Turbo Jam...Definitely!0 -
Swimming for sure. great CV, works every muscle in your body, and really clears your head too. And if you swim in the ocean changes are you get to lie on the beach after! (just a shame I live in the UK)0

I would choose running. I never would have believed I could be a runner even after I lost 70+ pounds, but when I started regaining weight, I took a couch potato to 5K class and ran my first 5K last year. Now run at least 3 days a week and hope to work up to a 10K this year. It's liberating! Squats are great to, I still do them as part of my overall conditioning.0
