love jersey shore!!!!!!!0

I'm sad to live in a world where it exists.
Seriously, it's pathetic that people have put some much effort into that crap when they should be interested in what is going on with their country or possibly even other parts of the world.

Jersey what??? Total waste of life.0

Jersey Shore = waste of time. I wish people didn't become famous for being loud, obnoxious, and self-centered. But... that day hasn't come yet when the meek will inherit the Earth So... i guess until then, we watch this crap.0

Absolute trash.
For ratings or money, it's suicidal to your brain cells to even ACT that stupid. I think those kids are self-destructive, and they will probably wind up as the has-beens parading on another reality show about rehab. This new generation seems especially gullible and a lack of intelligence is nothing to be proud of, despite how much you're getting paid.0 -
hahahahahahahaha...it is also my guilty pleasure...i also hope no one thinks this is the way people should live their lives, and i would never want or suggest anyone under 25 watch it(because hopefully by that age you know better-obviously mike the situation didnt get the memo)...but it amuses me and takes my mind off of my own problems!0
-
I think the show is dumb and I don't watch it, nor do I really watch anything on MTV anymore. But if people want to watch it then that's their business.0
-
absolutely waste of time to watch the trashy people and the disgusting way they live!! and sad thing is i have a few 8th grade students that want to grow up to be like snookie........they think that lifestyle is awesome to live. very sad. i am not even concerned with what other countries think so much as i am concerned that the trash on their is looked at as cool by our youth!!
"and sad thing is i have a few 8th grade students that want to grow up to be like snookie"
That genuinely makes me sad and worry about the future! why would anyone want to be like that.0 -
Eh I watch it with my daughters it's comical in a way.stupid, pathetic, idk but we all watch.0
-
I never would of thought I would be talking about my love for Jersey Shore on MFP....
I wouldn't say it's my 'guilty pleasure', since I don't feel guilty about it all haha, I love the show! I personally find reality TV extremely entertaining (complete opposite of most people I know..), but Jersey Shore really tops it off for me.
Sure they do some pretty outrageous things, and say some dumb things, but isn't that how it gets all its ratings?
And plus, if you watch the show you would know that Vinny and Pauly D are actually really nice guys...0 -
GUILTY PLEASURE AW YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
sure it's silly/stupid.. but i just can't resist! plus, pauly D is nice to look at.0 -
I have no thoughts on that show! Couldn't even get through an episode! Reality tv is getting sad!
It's always been sad but it brings in the bucks and it is way easier to produce and finance.0 -
All I know is that I actually live on the Jersey Shore (not that far south), and I don't look or act like that at all. There are, however, lots of North Jersey, Staten Islanders and Long Islanders that come down here, that do look, and act like total morons, just like the people on the Jersey Shore. They are good to get a free drink from, and a laugh... if your laughing at them, but thats about it.0

a couple years ago when MTV was running previews for the show before it came out i thought it was a joke and MTV was mocking themselves for thier idiot shows. little did i know..0
-
love to hate them:) and if anyone in this country or any other think it's the way all Americans or even Jersey people act, well all they have to do is turn on 1 of the 3000 other reality shows and get a totally different irrational opinion.0
-
I love Jersey Shore. Not because I support the lifestyle or whatever reputation it's giving Americans, but because it's entertaining. Anyone who denies its entertainment must not have that great of a sense of humor. Each cast member has a unique personality and brings something else to the show. It's simply entertaining, and isn't that what television is all about anyway?0
-
I f'ing HATE that show..0

Jersey Shore is a perfect example of what is wrong with reality TV.
People seeking notoriety at any cost. The only reality shows I watch are on Food Related. Love cooking shows.0 -
I just like Pauly..he cracks me up.0

It's my guilty pleasure, i think most people know that their behavior isnt whats normal lol, but they are young and loving the lime light, and we get to laugh at their ridiculousness... I wait for Thursday night all week!
The thing is, some of them aren't that young. I was listening to the radio station one day and they had Mike on and he told the DJ he had just turned 30 yrs old. What 30 yr old goes out and acts like they just turned 21? I'm not a fan of this show because at that age they should be a little more responsible!0 -
Tried to watch it a couple times, both times changed channels in disgust. So much good life to live, no time for crap TV.0

setting up soap box....This is why our species is circling the drain. People spend countless hours watching this crap. i would never be friends with any guy that acted like they do or date any girl that had that little repect for herself. It makes me ashamed that people know more about snookie than the government or any other worldly events. (he says as he types on MFP on his computer at work). I have educated friends that watch this. I am also jealous of the fact that these worthless entitled little sh**ts will make more money than i ever will working until I am 80. And how they get their fortune is by acting like an *kitten* on television. But, at the end of the day all i really have to do is change the channel.0

The only thing I know about that show is what I have seen on talk shows. I can't believe they have made celebrities out of these people.0

I'm originally from Pennsylvania, my opinion in general is that Jersey should be destroyed and PA should be given a beach. I'm not a fan of Jersey in general, let alone the TV show. Which I've never actually seen, because it came out of Jersey.
I live in NJ and love it here. I live near the Jersey Shore, and Im sure you must know by now that most of the "characters" on JS are not even from NJ except for Mike. Not everyone from NJ behaves the way those clowns do, we get a bad rap because of it. But hey if you dont want to come here, good. Less crowds on our beaches.0 -
