I believe there are a few of us in your shoes tonight!!! I came through the door with chocolate and chips. Got very upset because I didn't drop a pound this week. I am exercising pretty hard core every day and some nights as well, and I have been eating healthy. UGH!!! Tomorrow is another day. We WILL GET BACK ON TRACK!!!0

Hi there. I just joined myfitnesspal and started reading some posts. I usually don't post anything on any website, but I had to say something to you. It’s okay to feel like quitting; but it's not okay to quit. Everybody has weak moments, and loses focus of our ultimate goal. But think of all the hard work that you are doing, just to let one day of "hardcore binging" make you quit. NO WAY! You just wake up in the morning, and start your day with your goal in mind. Focus on the positive changes you have made. Most of all, remember that the way you are feeling now when you feel like binging again. It helps detour you from losing sight again. Take it easy on yourself, nobody is perfect. Those who think they are - ARE NARSISISTIC. And that's way worse then what you are going through temporarily. Hope this helps...0

Don't quit, you can do this! I binged a bit yesterday, and felt really badly. But even in the midst of the binge, I began to plan out my meals for today and getting all my veggies and needed food items together to take to work. This morning I got up and was determined to make today count. In the past, I have quit and that hasn't felt any better than the binge. Believe....we are all here to support you too. You can beat this! :flowerforyou:0

don't quit don't freak out about falling off of the wagon, just hop back on and try to do better tomorrow. we had family over yesterday and had deep fried turkey and the most amazingly fattning mac n cheese ever and mashed potatoes. i think i tried to eat myself into a food coma but i'm right back at it today sometimes a day where you say f it all i'm eating what i want keeps you from totally losing it all together. feel free to add me if you want :drinker:0

Heard this the other day, "If you spill a spot of red wine on your white top do you pour the rest of the glass over yourself?". One slip up doesn't mean it's ruined, just dust yourself off and start again with the next meal x0

Don't quit over that! No biggie! Just jump right back on track again. You can do it!!!0

I think you'll find if you do go back on plan the day after binging that it doesnt have that much of a negative effect on the diet. It's binging every day that makes the diet worthless. One day out of 30? 20? even 10, isnt going to effect you much as long as those other 9 days you're on plan.0

Don't quit!! I splurged over the weekend but got right back on track Monday morning. It's nice to go off track, but the feeling I get isn't worth it at all. I feel so much better when I feed my body correctly. Stay positive, you can do it!!!!!0

I binged this weekend too, but now it's time to do more exercise and eat better to make up for it. I have to have atleast 1 day a week to eat whatever I want, and as much as I want. This time I did it 3 days in a row. We didn't put the weight on overnight so just keep going some days will be better than others. I'm just happy that I lost 10 pds. I honestly thought that was never going to be possible. So keep going don't let a day or two mess it up for you.:drinker:0

If it is of any help I managed to overdo the calories today by approx 635. Nevermind start again tomorrow and really get on with it. Starting to think about the beach in the summer and don't want to feel like a baby whale again this year.
Keep smiling and get back to the calories tomorrow - you will get there.0 -
Don't give up. Just try to eat better for the rest of the day and if you can exercise to make up.
i screw up almost every weekend and I make up for it with exercise. Probably not the right way to do it but it's better than eating and gaining weight.0 -
I like your binged days they are just as bad as mine. If your going to binge do it right. Then get up dust yourself off and start all over :smokin:0

I know this is very old but for anyone reading now... I have gone over by 1500 calories the last two days, yes that is 3000 over in 2 days!!! Today I am right back on track. It happens, just move on!0

Perhaps even thinking of it this way: Its better to eat too many calories than to starve yourself.0

Been there done that....Remember this...if you were driving somewhere and got a flat?? Would you get out of your car with an ice pick, flatten the three remaining tires and end the trip right then and there???
Repeat after me...."Its only One Day".
Besides....In my own journey....weight doesn't come off, or go back on in a steady fashion according to energy balance...I wish it was like that because it would be predictable...At least for me it came off and at times, came back on in STEPS. The diet gurus like to call them "Set Points"....so even with an all out binge so long as you are back in the game the next day. you likely will see no impact whatsoever. Now if you did this for a week, your body would travel to the next set point up.
I have a set point at 198......I will not loose weight for weeks...then poof....195.....Hover, then Poof...192...hover, hover, hover....then Poof 187. I know because I seem to see the same numbers. I am an avid cyclist and its typical for me to gain 10 in the off season. So.....I see the same numbers repeat themselves on the way up in the late fall.0 -
had a couple of weeks where I couldn't stay focused. Back on the wagon now and ready to lose again. Don't give up, don't let it beat you0
