What do you buy men for valentines?

For my first Valentines day with my hubby (boyfriend at the time) I made him what I called a "Man Basket". I bought a wicker basket from the dollar store and cellophane w/ribbon. I put a whole bunch of his faves in it and wrapped it up. I put Microsoft points, a new wireless controller, dried peaches, pistachios, slim jims, red bull, computer tools and a bunch of other fun stuff in it for him. He was so shocked and loved it so much - he has asked for it every year since =D0

Since we have his kids..the options are limited..
I am thinking a nice massage for him with oil, a foot and hand rub. I will probably going to victoria's secret and pick up a new lingere item.
For a gift it will be some cologne that I like and a couple of shirts.0 -
I made my husband a blanket and I'll pick up a couple cupcakes from the fancy cupcakery that is always seems to be closed on the day we try to go. If I have time I'll stop at the bison farm for a couple steaks that he'll wind up having to cook (he enjoys it!). We usually keep holidays simple and fun.0

Food. Definitely food. Men love baked goods. Especially cookies.
Ha, of course I LOVE to bake desserts and I marry the man who doesn't care for sweets0 -
A trenchcoat, panties, tequila, an open mind, and a willing heart...

We don't celebrate Valentines day....We've been married over 12 years, and don't feel to need to pay triple for something on one day when we love eachother every day.
This! I've been married for 26 years and we've never celebrated V-day. We've always seen it as a made-up commerical holiday that benefits candy, flower and jewelry companies.
I am also a hater of Valentine's day, but that doesn't mean you can't do anything. I am always a fan of a nice romantic night in. Homemade dinner and sexy things.
Although this year, I have gotten tickets to a hockey game the weekend before and a hotel (just because its a pain to travel 2 + hours after a game). It was only recently I realized it was the weekend before valentine's day. So we figured, why not celebrate it this year. lol.
I may (if I can actually do it), where a Leafs jersey and nothing else for him that weekend, although I am not sure if I can physically where it. I don't bleed blue, I bleed red.lol. Soooo.... we shall see how nice I get.0 -
Something nice for yourself to wear to bed should be good enough for him. Ladies, don't waste money on flowers or candy or gc for your husband, we don't want it. A sexy piece of lingerie for the wife to wear is all I ever want for V day(of course its one gift that I never get:sad: )0

Four years ago I gave him a baby girl for Valentine's Day...So I am off the hook! Kidding, kidding  ! We recently discovered the tiny bed and breakfast we spent the weekend of our wedding in is still open. We had been told it was closed and were pretty bummed. Obviously, with a certain tiny girl's birthday that day we will not be going there that night, but I am hoping to be able to surprise him with a gift certificate to it to use soon after!0

Oh & I won't see my fiance on Valentine's Day so sex isn't an option
Send him a coupon for some rough and durty when he next sees you in person, to cash it in.0 -
Don't get him anything for Valentines Day, get him something for the next time you do spend time together. I'm a big fan of sex toys for use with a partner.0

Have you not heard of steak and a blow job day?
Luckily, neither has my husband.0 -
no. most of us dont care.
You know what we want. its either going to involve certain special actions on your part... or food.
and if they're dieting.. food isnt a good idea.
Hahaha Its funny...but true.0 -
I can tell some of you don't have kids in the house. Lol.0

My birthday is often on Mother's Day. I choose to celebrate them on two separate weekends regardless of what day it falls on.0

This reminds me of early in our marriage my husband was trying to tell me that men aren't as needy and don't need or even like romance as much as women. Women are needy. He's a sentimental bag of gloop and I had to go about proving it. So the next day, I made him his favorite dinner and some cookies. Before he could have dinner, I forced him to go take a bath. I had already ran a bubble bath and had candles lit up with cookies sitting beside the tub. I walked in and he was grinning from head to toe. I asked him how he liked it. He ate a cookie and said, he loved it. "So," I said, "Men don't like to be catered to and romanced?" He ate his words and we've been romancing each other since. Of course other stuff is appreciated too.0
