My son, then aged three, once came out with a long statement as we passed some flowers about the flowers in the church a long time ago when he was in the box and the mummy he'd had before was crying and crying.
I found a doll in a case in an antique store at about age 4. I was insistent to my mother that that was MY doll, from when I lived before. I told her my doll's name was Dolores.
The clerk took the doll out of the case to show us, and carved into the nape of the wooden neck was......."Dolores".
No kidding.0 -
I am terrified of powerlines, furnaces, and water heaters. I have run screaming out of my basement before when the furnace has turned on.
Ugh this! Freak accidents terrify me.0 -
like does any situation scare you?
I live in the hood. Not too bad in my city, but when i lived in a huge city - i lived in the hood there too. Gun shots, muggings, stabbings, blah blah blah. I didn't care - I went about my business like normal.
BUT ... when I'm home alone at night, to this day, I'm afraid the girl from The Ring is going to crawl out of my television.
Hell, stop it.
That bloody movie, do you know I watched it when it first came out, I watched it on video, not DVD. This is totally, 100% true what I am about to say.
Exactly one week later and to the hour I was sitting at our main computer which is in the next room to the TV, I had the TV on but had gone onto the computer in this other room and could hear the TV blaring away. I was at home alone, because hubby had had to go out.
Suddenly, the sound on the TV ceased and you know that sound that the video made in The Ring, sort of like white noise, a sssshhhhhh sort of noise? Well that was the exact sound coming from the TV. The hairs on the back of my neck stood up and I literally just froze. Frozen to the bloody spot!
I knew that I was going to have to get up and I ventured out into the hallway and closed my eyes, then taking a deep breath I peered around the corner, but not before opening the front door which was directly next to me, because I am not ashamed to admit that if a picture of a well were to suddenly appear on that screen, I was going to be off and out of here and down the road faster than Linford Christie!!!!
What I saw when I gingerly looked around the corner, was that the TV service had temporarily gone down, it was NOT a well - thank God!!
Do you know, just thinking back to that evening has made me break out into a cold sweat right now. I so hate that movie, I cannot for the life of me imagine why I went and bought it on DVD a few months back either!!! :noway:
Oh my god the first time I saw The Ring was at my friend's house and she fell asleep half way through!! So I'm about 13, watching it alone, and it goes off and I sit in her living room terrified of everything, hardly able to breathe.
And her phone rings.
Her phone started ringing!! She woke up and went to answer it and I nearly tackled her to the ground! It was only her grandmother, but I swear my heart leapt out of my chest.0 -
Stephen King has this one short story about a finger coming up out of the drain in this guy's bathroom sink. It just pokes it's fingertip out and wiggles at him. He goes insane trying to get rid of it.
I have since translated that horrible idea into a fear that a hand will grab me from beneath when I am sitting on the toilet. During the daytime, I can resist thinking of this, but at 2am, in the dark, it freaks me OUT.
Damn you Stephen King....
I have been terrified of this since I was little! I don't get it at all, but since before I can remember I've had to use the bathroom as fast as possible because I'm afraid of a hand coming up to grab me!
(Sorry about so many posts in a row, I just got home and am rereading and relate to so much of this )0 -

i live in a really rough town in mid wales. there has been numerous robberies in different shops in town! people steal LCD tv's and everything! few months ago Barclays bank, and natwest bank got robbed within a few days apart from each other. Somone held a gun up to one of the workers in Natwest bank. My friend got knifed summer last year, and was in hospital for a long time recovering from stab injuries =/. its a really rough town here! Not to mention all the drugies that are about. Thats why im freakin scared to go for a jog outside at night time on my own!! and i normaly go with a friend.
secondly, my house is haunted - like real bad. the house that i live in and all my neighbours houses here used to be an old peoples home back in 1700's, loads of old, mentally disabled people died here. someone probably died in my bedroom . soo all of these houses are really haunted. our floor boards upstairs are really creaky, and when everyones asleep at night, i can hear foot steps all over the landing, and into my mums bedroom (her floor boards are really bad!).. when im downstairs watching tv, i see black shadows go past the livingroom door, our bannister that goes up the stairs is like an old wooden kinda thing, and that makes a hell of a noise when you hold on to it to go up the stairs, well late at night thats always making noises. little bits n bobs get moved around in my bedroom, nothing like my TV or my desk or anything  but just little things like hair brush, bottles of body spray etc etc. a few weeks ago, i went to bed and i left my netbook lid open, i woke up in the morning and it was closed! =/ i hear cups been placed on the kitchen surfaces downstairs too, few months ago it was about 4am, and i heard a plate smash on the floor.
sooo yeah, wen im home alone, i get real scared! i have to lock the front door and back door, i close all the doors in my house, and i stay upstairs in my bedroom!0 -

I just moved in with my brother and I dont know whats wrong with his apartment but the lights in the both bedrooms, hallway, and bathroom flicker then go completely off. They will usually come back within seconds but one day I was laying in bed around 6:20am which is still dark outside and the lights went out, I'm alone in the apartment, and I thought they would come back on. I was wrong they went out for 30 minutes. I am laying in my bed in complete darkness because I was too scared to get out of bed and head to the living room where the electricity was fine. I was scared because my brother the night before told me that a little girl had been murdered in my room. What an a-hole.0
