Sweet Onion Teryaki - either on whole wheat or as a salad. Monterey Jack Cheese. Loaded up with veggies. Had it last night as a sandwich and it was only 465 calories.

6" Honey Oat Subway Club with provolone, lettuce, onion, green pepper, pickles, yellow mustard, or if I'm feeling a little squirrely and not worried about calories, 6" steak and cheese on italian herb and cheese, either shredded cheese or pepper jack toasted with green peppers, jalapenos, and onions then the chipoltle sauce! Mmmmm!

Lately I have been getting a salad at subway!! they are really tasty and very low in cals. I get the turkey breast with a little shredded cheese and have them add spinich, it adds a different flavor and texture. Then I pile on the veggies and top it off with their fat free honey mustard sauce. It is so yummy and depending on the amount of cheese and or honey mustard it is a 200ish cal lunch that is so filling!!!

I don't do wheat, so I get a salad. Load up on all the veggies you like. Sauce on the side. Bottle of water. Good to go!
  • My favorite is:
6 inch wheat veggie delite with tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce, pickles, and green peppers with Sweet onio sauce. I also usually get one of their yogurts.

Never knew this. I always just browsed through the MFP Food data base and chose what was closest to my sandwich veggie and sauce wise. Thanks for sharing!

My fav *would* be with cheese and mayo ... but I usually get turkey on their wheat bread, sometimes I ask them to toast the bread. NO cheese, NO mayo (the people behind the counter look at me like I am an alien when I ask for it without) then I get lettuce, red onions, cucumbers, black olive and tomatoes. It sucks sometimes, but I am kinda use to eating certain foods 'dry'.

Whatever works I guess, and since it's dry I don't feel bad ordering a foot long although I eat 1 6in that day and save the other 6in for the next day.

The healthiest sandwich you can get (with meat on it) is this one:

    6 Inch Turkey
    No Cheese
    Wheat Bread
TONS OF VEGGIES (I put on green peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, and lettuce)
And I ask them to pile on the mustard because the plain yellow stuff has 0/minimal calories and a ton of flavor
This, no mustard, lots of jalapenos... yummy!

Ohhh yes and I forgot! I like to get a salad with spinach, sweet onion chicken, onions, pickles, cucumbers and jalapenos with a little bit of the sweet onion sauce on top. Delish!

My favorite is an italian BMT, but sub turkey for the ham. I also like to get plain turkey then add slices of turkey pepperoni. 17 for 70 calories. yum! :)

Now this is my cup of tea ! Ha !

I get a 12" Veggie Delight on Whole Wheat Bread and first thing I say is : SCOOP THE BREAD ! It now becomes a 9" Sub with less carbs.

I start with Spinach, little iceberg, tomato, cucumber, green peppers, black olives and then more spinach ... and then I top it off with a ton of banana peppers ! NO cheese ... NO Sauce or Condiments !

I eat this 3 to 4 days a week for lunch or dinner ! Absolutely LOVE it ! I feel like a million bucks after eating all those veggies ... my energy is at an all time peak !

Yep ... I am very passionate about my " Veggie Delight " ... Just call me a Goofball !

This is pretty much my exact meal when I go! I think its like 260 cals

I get this too but get vinegar (no oil) instead of mustard. Then extra lettuce, tomatoes, cukes, spinach, shredded carrots, onion, hot peppers, banana peppers................OMG it's so good! Now I want one!

It sounds like some of you have different topping to choose from that we do here (ON, Canada) There is no spinach or avocado here. I usually get a 6" club (roast beef, turkey, ham) on wheat with no cheese. If I am really hungry, I get a double meat 6" instead of a 12". My veggies are lettuce, tomato, green pepper, onions, a few green olives and I always get sweet onion sauce. I actually discovered it by mistake when I asked for sub sauce and they screwed up my order. The sweet onion is great and only 40 cals. My only issue with Subway is the sodium and I am not usually a person who is fussy on my salt intake. I find I am thirsty all day after I have a sub so I try to limit it to an occasional treat.

    Pizza sub! (because I'm juvenile)

A 6" pizza sub is only about 500 calories so that works out pretty well. I always get it on whole wheat and PILE on the pickles and lettuce. A little low calorie ranch and... voila! :D
  • I've never really understood the idea of ordering something that I can easily make at home. If I'm going to get something at Subway (or any other restaurant), it's because I've saved (or earned) the calories to have something I can't or wouldn't bother making at home.

I TOTALLY agree. However, with that said, I usually opt for the 6 inch Ham, just because it is cheaper and very close in calorie content to the Turkey. Either way it is a great, filling meal with very reasonable calorie content!

I thought that too and tried making them at home one week and found that the contents were somehow costing me more than buying them from Subway. Maybe I was doing it wrong, but at $3 for a 6 inch sub, it was hard to beat.

Note: I do not work for, own a franchise of, or stock in Subway. I just like cheap and easy food!

I get a 6" turkey/ham (with extra turkey) on wheat, no cheese and only a little salt/pepper/oil. Nothing else. I don't like veggies.
