Looking like a gym horror!!!

After a hard workout in the gym today, I looked at myself in the changing room mirror, and was horrified!! I had sweat everywhere, my face for bright red and my fringe (bangs) was plastered to my head. Girls - how do you stay looking at least half decent in the gym whilst working really hard???????

You don't. That's what you look like when you do it right.0

Ha I dont. Im a beast in the gym and proud of it! Sorry not the answer you were looking for!0

I'm working out to lose fat not to get laid so I don't worry about it.0

Quoted for truth.0 -
Don't worry about how you look, if you are working hard enough to look bad then you are burning calories.0
-
No possible way to do... you are either there to workout or to look cute you can't do both.0

Not looking to get laid, but I just seem to be the only one looking a mess!0 -

Well if you want to look like them, work out like them. Which is to say, you wouldn't be working out at all.0 -
Just means that you are working harder than everybody else0

Look at it as, everyone else is not doing it right, lol0 -
If you want a true response other then "That is how you are supposed to look if your working hard" get a headband to hold the bangs back. I always have mine pinned back with a headband or barrett and its not about looking good it is because they annoy the hell out of me when stuck to my forehead or sticking straight up.0

Honestly wouldn't worry about it too much, but you can get some no-slip headbands to hold your bangs away from your face so they don't get all sweaty and stick to your face!0
-
I'm not there to impress anyone. If you look as perfect going out as you did going in, then you didn't work out.
don't worry about it!!! That's the best part about the gym.0 -
HA! Im a mess when i get done. Im red, barely walking, sweaty, stinky and absolutely disgusting! But i look awesome the more i do that, and that is what counts. No makeup, cute clothes or nice hairdo's here!0

hahahahahahahahahaha, great answer!!0 -
A cap. But trust me...no one is checking out your hair. :-)0

Twist your bangs back and clip on sides, if headband slides off. Pull hair back into tight pony tail and wear some tinted moisturizer and waterproof mascara! Invest in some good quality workout clothing, like Lululemon or Lucy and you'll look great and burn calories!0

^This. Or use a clip for your bangs.
It's not a fashion show.0 -
I use a headband, but that's just because having my bangs flop in my face annoys me. I also leave red & sweaty, but I don't mind. I actually kind of love work out sweat. It helps me feel like I've accomplished something (although maybe those are endorphin induced hallucinations).0

I'm not at the gym to look pretty. I'm there to lose the fat and keep it off. That requires sweating and hard work which leads to temporarily not looking so pretty.0
-
hahaha, I ALWAYS look like a gym horror (minus the red face/bangs). I literally am dripping sweat by the time I leave... but then again, I'm usually kicking my butt for at least 80 minutes running, spinning, or intense elliptically. It used to bother me because I'm a little prone to sweating a bit heavier, but now I see it as a mark of merit.
So learn to wear your sweat proudly would be my advice! Oddly enough, I get hit on more when I'm sweaty, gross and working hard, then when I used to just dilly dally about on low intensity equipment!0 -

yeah you're doing it right, just remember to spray off you machine and it all good0 -
Just to confirm, I dont want to look all pretty and lovely. Its just i've been working hard to improve my fitness, but my face always looks like i havent exercised in years!!0

That means you're doing it right.0

there is no way to work out hard and look cute doing it, but if you want to minimise the mess you look, plenty of deadorant and sweat absorbing clothing, one that wicks away the sweat is good. i think i have nike top or two that do that pretty well and hair pins or headband or both for the fringe, and hair tied up is always a must, my hair is only shoulder length or shorter, but i always put mine up in a bun with a million hair ties around it to keep it in place. as for the red face, nothing can stop that, but taking a towel and patting your face dry in between exercises helps keep the sweat off your face. good luck and well done you for using a gym, not that ive done a proper work out in ages but when i do, i do it in the safety of my lounge, i don't get on with gyms at all. :-( x0

Hahah I don't. No point in looking pretty when your at the gym to sweat. XD0

When I see a woman, all sweaty and looking a mess, I'm impressed she is working out so hard. I've seen some woman who come into the gym with their hair all brushed and makeup on, and they workout to preserve the look they came in with. Not impressed at all.
I go into the gym looking a mess, waiting for the sweat to make my hair look less messy.0 -
It just shows how hard we have worked!! Let the sweat be your friend, not your enemy0
-
This is funny, because I had the exact same feeling today! I don't have bangs and I pull my hair back, but when I left it was sticking up everywhere and dripping with sweat! I just think to myself that if people are looking at me...then they think "WOW, she was really pushing it!"0
