    191.5 this week. I added more workouts to my regular so I am now working out for 2 hours a day. I'd like to think some of that extra weight is muscle. I know I just bought new pants a size to 2 sizes smaller then I normally wear so it could be.

    Lost 2.2 pounds this week! Yeah! I'm beginning to think I may make my goal at the end of this challenge! It is snowing here so I will have to exercise at home instead of my class (a 45 minute drive away). Hope everyone else has a good week as well!

    this month has been a bust...between the stomach flu and now a cold it seems i have been sick all month...i have only logging in a few workouts(i think 3, maybe 4)....and i am so stress with my move and finding a new place that i am eating like crazy(not a good thing).....i am going to regroup and concentrate on healthy eating and getting better, then on my move...will workout when i can....

    I almost dropped out of the challenge because, as you can see, I'm gaining instead of losing and feel very ashamed and disappointed in myself! I start the week great, but then seem to eat like there's no tomorrow. Also, I haven't been able to work out for 3 weeks due to an injury so that makes me frustrated, and I eat more.

    How do I get my focus back?!?!?!

    Well, sometimes I have a hard time staying on the bandwagon, too. This time, I'm trying to make sure that I don't set goals that are too aggressive for myself. I'm trying to think of this less as dieting, and more as a change in how I'm living that I can be comfortable with. Otherwise, if I feel too deprived, or if I don't eat enough and then get sick all the time, I will just give up and start gaining. So, maybe I don't have a chronic disease that needs medication forever, but maybe I do need to keep a food journal to be healthy. I hope that helps! Don't give up!

    cathyl3 - I think it would help you to have a specific MFP friend that you each hold each other accountable EVERY DAY. You write her/him and they write you. You tell them what exercises you did, how much water you drank, etc. If you are staring at a plate of cookies, and want to eat them all, you go write them instead, etc.

    yay2012 & rosiebug - Love your thoughts!

    01/30: 147.2 (Sorry it's late....one of those days...Won't happen again, I hope)
    02/06: 146.6 (actually hit 145.0 this week but couldn't keep it yet...)
    02/13: 148 (horrible week, nutrition and exercise-wise. Monday weigh-ins are hard! I'm usually down a pound or two by tuesday...)

    These last few pounds have been very difficult for me, and i was starting to get discouraged at having only lost 5 pounds in the past 6 weeks!

    I took my measurements this morning and have lost 1 inch in my bust, 1 inch in my waist and 2 inches in my hips . . . i've even lost some in my upper arms and calves finally- woohoo! (since this challenge started)

    now, THAT's encouraging to me and just the jump start i needed!!

    Those last 3 pounds are coming OFF!!

    I completely agree with what you said! I read your post this morning before work and I kept thinking about it. For me, keeping a food journal helps me understand why I eat certain things at certain times and keeps me accountable for my weight gain/loss which seems to be a constant struggle in my life.

    I will do my best to check in more often... I ALWAYS read the posts, but I never know what to reply back! Today was a crazy day for me today, I am a kindergarten teacher and it was the 100th day of school and Valentine's Day! I am soooo tired! Thank goodness for that husband of mine that came to help and will help me eat the chocolates from the kids. :wink:
