I was sick this weekend lost a lot of weight (8 pounds) 8 pounds of water weight!?
I will probably weigh myself tomorrow morning after a day of feeling better. Hopefully it did not all come back, but sources tell me that it will. :sad:
I can take advantage and just eat well and hopefully it will not come all back.
But I am still working on my goal. if I can loose 12 pounds in 6 weeks, I'll be so freakin happy. I'm going to try to get the weight off the first of May so I can prepare and buy clothing for Memorial Day!0 -

Pounds lost since starting challenge: 3, but then I put them all back on, and then some.
I was on vacation for 9 days, and as if it's not hard enough to stay on track while away from home, I was so sick with a miserable cough/cold that wiped away all of my energy! Instead of my usual 60-90 minutes of tough cardio everyday, I only did 30 minutes walks each day. And ate a less than ideal diet.
I know I didn't try hard enough to eat good food, and now I'm going to pay for it. But I'm back on track and going to keep trying to reach my goal weight, even it it takes me a year!0 -
I am 160 as of Monday. My goal is 140 by 26 May 08...

Okay, I'm in. This site is really motivating me, and I must admit THAT is not easy to do, considering I have been yo-yo dieting for 20 years. This is IT though! No more messin' around. I'm gettin' serious!

I'm also going to look into the blah to babe section. I love these kind of things! I bought a heart rate monitor and my husband and I have started wogging (walk/jog). It beeps at me to tell me when to speed up and slow down. My own personal trainer! We've wogged 3 days in a row now and I'm so motivated!!
I have 2 quick questions. Would somebody please answer them for me:
1) If I'm exercising, am I supposed to eat all of my calories, plus the exercise ones? I get 1,250 calories but whenever I put in my exercise amounts, it raises my calorie needs. How do I lose weight then??
2) I'm new to all of this posting stuff. How can I view replies to just my posts??

i'm only 5'0 so 110, would put me at a very good, healthy and lean looking weight.
i'm not sure that i will lose the 39 lbs, but i will certainly give it a good try
personal goals:
not eat out so often
use all three machines (eliptical, treadmill, and total gym) when i work out, and increase my workout time from 40 minutes per day to 60-90 minutes per day.0 -
What is a reverse crunch?
It is when you are lying on your back and instead of lifting your chest off the floor - you bend your knees and lift your pelvis off the floor .... it targets your lower abs. Very good to do .... I usually do my regular crunches, reverse crunches and then my obliques (love handles) - which is when you .... for example .... bring your right elbow to your left knee (twisting your upper body).
Hard to explain with words - I'm sure you could do a search on the internet and find pics.

i try to just eat what i need to eat, if i exercise and it increases my calories and i am truely hungry, then i will eat more, but if i'm not hungry, then i'm not eating just on a count of. i find that when i eat just to eat because the calories are available, i feel miserable....i feel bloated, and tired, and unmotivated cause my stomach is tore up. i consume the necessary calories, but then back of when my body tells me no more! good luck...you can do it.0
