    Hi Sixers! I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaack!!!!!

I am securely in my new apartment. All of my things are here. And I am happy. I really think I am. I love it here. I only started moving in Sunday, spent my first night Monday, but it's great. I have noisy neighbors above and below, but that's never bothered me. Apartments are not meant to be soundproof. Bella Grace hasn't seen the apartment yet (the past few nights have been her Daddy's nights) but I know she will be so excited when I pick her up today. I just love this space. It feels so *me*. I think I will enjoy living alone. I think I truly needed some space.

My goal this 6 weeks is to lose 6 lbs -- aggressive but I think it can be done -- and to work out regularly. I will have to think about what "regularly" means to me. I'm thinking Monday - Friday probably. I have a gym membership that I need to keep utilizing -- I have started spin class there and adore it!!! -- and my complex has a pool that I need to take advantage of -- nothing like sun AND exercise to boost the spirits!!

The GI specialists sent me a letter saying my ultrasound was clear, so again, no explanation for what has been causing my pain BUT indication it's nothing serious or life-threatening. I can accept this answer. To reduce my GI spasms, I'm to stay on the meds.... which if you recall, happen to be anti-depressants. Not sure if they are a big part of the smile on my face this week or if it's my new apartment. Any way, I am a happy girl.

The LSAT may or may not happen this September; I'm leaning towards Not. I'm already inside the 3 month crunch time and I haven't been studying. I might see about rescheduling for December or next February and give myself more time to prepare. I dunno, we shall see. No worries. NO MORE SELF IMPOSED NEEDLESS STRESS!!!! Life is too short to spend it stressing over the unnecessary!!

Plans for the day: shower, grocery store for a few staples, gym?, Vacation Bible School (I'm doing the photography), back here with Bella Grace

Kristin, pregnancy weight happens. :grumble: Try to get in as much exercise as you can. I guess that will increase your energy levels. (I don't know firsthand, I NEVER worked out when I pregnant, except to lift the spoon of hot fudge sundae to my mouth! )

Melynda, hi! We have similar goals, although I've added a few pounds recently -- emotional eating too!! I hear word I might have a high school reunion in September and if I bother to go, I'd like to look great, which means I have got to WORK IT.

Cathy, I wish I could put up a clothes line. I've always wanted to do that. I don't have a washer or dryer in my new place so I will probably end up at my (what in the world do I call him?) UH.... HIS house doing laundry once a week. I think that is a fair trade since I didn't take the washer and dryer with me. I hate that you are having to deal with being all alone and without a car but I am sure you will find all sorts of new ways to occupy your time. I am learning that now and I hope to love having me time. I imagine I will be sad once I finally find a job. And it's amazing how EVERYTHING is electronic now. There is NO hand filling out an application. That is one of the justifications I had in keeping my internet.... it's a must for finding a job! Craziness, I tell ya!

Tamm, YOU HAVE LOST ALMOST 50LBS!!!! WOOT!! That is spectacular! You've come a long ways! That is so great. Keep up the momentum!! Tell Tiff we say GOOD LUCK!!!

AmyLou, I had no idea dentists worked at 7am  Hope that appt went well!

AmyPDX, are you feeling better? Are you getting the all clear from the docs? I am glad to hear no more iron supplementation. Didn't you have some final obgyn workups? I may have missed the results... I have been MIA for far too long.

    Kel, hi!!!! :flowerforyou:

Rhiannon, I didn't see your results and I am too lazy to go find them. Did you fare well not weighing in the past challenge? How is your training coming along?

AmyPYR, Let's get in that suit comfortably! Are you doing 30 min a day 7 days a week?

Lady, did you put in your name and goals? Come join us!!

I think that is all the personals I can pound out right now. Need to shower and get on with my day!!! (after checking my email and finishing my coffee  because no ulcer means lots of coffee for me!!!!! :drinker: )

    xo sixers!!!!

Yay! Hi Lauryn! Glad you are happy and feeling well! I think your goals this challenge are totally do-able! Just keep at it! And I can't wait to hear how Bella likes the new place!

    Back to some work!

    Good morning Ladies,

Wow! Look at us, everyone is on the ball. It's great to see all the positive energy. I want to say... all you girls make my day start off with a bang. I would love to spend more time chit chatting but I need to get my butt in gear and get to work. Cathy and Lauryn I wish I could stay home more often. I would get more work outs in. Today is another big mowing day, so I will get some calories burnt. Plus it is suppose to be about 98 degrees today, so I must go.:glasses: :glasses:

    Love to all:love:

Hi Sixers ... Can you take in one more newbie?:flowerforyou: I would love to join in with all of you. Can you tell me how to set a 6 week goal then I'll add myself to your list if it's okay.
  • kistinbee
    kistinbee Posts: 3,688 Member
Sure you can join magglett! And WELCOME!:flowerforyou: We basically set our own 6 week goals. It can be a certain number of pounds, or inches, or simply workout/eating goals. It's up to you. And we all get on here daily to motivate and support each other. We usually do weigh-ins on Tuesdays (when we start a new thread for the week) and I think some are still weighing in on Fridays also. (That is if you wish to do weigh-ins). Me...I'm preggo so not weighing these days. Hopefully this helps. And please tell us a little about yourself!

Kel...stay hydrated as you're mowing. That heat can be brutal!

    Thanks for the welcome, guys!
Also, DrTamm- I just wanted to say I'm a dentist, too! It makes the whole "6 small meals a day" plan pretty much impossible for me, how about you? And why do specialists always send cookies and pies?!? (I'm sure many other jobs have this problem as well.)
I guess if they started sending veggie trays, I might get a little offended and wonder if they'd noticed my expanding booty.

 Yeah ...veggie trays would be great, but I agree...I would think they noticed I need to shed a few pounds!

    afternoon ladies....

good to see you so much kistin. i just love reading your baby ticker. can't believe it's almost time.....
DH called this morning and said he gets his work truck tomorrow and can bring it home. YEA, that means i get my car back and that also (oh no :noway: )i can make it to the gym in the mornings. LOL. no excuses now. i went monday and it felt good, just my body was is shock. i was doing my treadmill many days while on this 2 months fall. not eating well yet, but, i am on here and it makes me think about it more, than if i wasn't.

drtamm.. shanell is ok, don't see her much. i am taking the girls for a week in july. she pays so much in daycare during the summer ($195 a week). i think his mother is even taking them a week and she is taking a weeks vacation. school here starts in aug. i know her work had another round of layoffs, and they had to take a pay cut again. what she made in raises in 9 yrs on the job is now almost gone in pay cuts. they both work at the same place so they both go through all this together.

i have enjoyed my day so far. just getting use to normal hours and be alone. he hasn't worked a day job in many years. i took a nap and just couldn't wake up. must had been i really needed the sleep. i have always felt guilty taking naps or sleeping in when he is home. i feel my job is to be up and doing my household chores. i am so old fashioned. when he proposed he asked if i wanted a full time job as his wife. i guess i took the to the letter LOL:laugh: . i love it.

time to figure out what i am cooking with chicken tenders. later

    Hi Ladies!!
Welcome Magglet!! Nice to have you with us!

I went to the gym and burned 585 cals. Yay me!! Boo that I had to use my asthma inhaler, which leaves me jittery. I hate this feeling.

    Today's Menu:
*Please note: my cupboards are not fully stocked due to the move*

Breakfast: two cups o' coffee with creamer, a pack of snack crackers ( )

Lunch: Subway 6'' chicken breast with all the veggies, Southwest sauce, vinegar, American cheese & 150 cals in regular greasy ruffle cut potato chips

Water Count :drinker: : 32 oz down (1/2 way there, although I drink 64oz each evening, easily)

I bought a new bathroom scale. It read 162.5 this morning, weighing in nekkid.
Jumped on the scale at the gym, FULLY clothed, shoes and all. 168lbs.
Yum, I am loving my bathroom scale!!!! Right or wrong, I'll be taking my measurements from my bathroom scale in the buff early mornings.

Kel - keep hydrated!!! Do you have a CamelBak?

Cathy - yay for the car!!!!

Kristin - Thanks for updating the list.

    Good Afternoon Ladies,

Well I got my mowing done for the day. Thank Goodness cuz it's 99 degrees out there right now. It's hotter than a fire cracker out there.:explode: I burned approx. 1075 calories. I do carry a ton of water with me at all times. A normal day I go through approx 3 liters of water. But on days like today I go through any where from 5 to 6 liters.:drinker: :drinker: So staying hydrated is not a problem for me. I freeze my bottles at night then let them melt as the day goes on. I have been doing this line of work for 6 years now. So you tend to work early and drink plenty of water. Actually water is the only thing I drink unless it's an adult bev. (usally that's on the weekends). :drinker: Thanks for caring everyone.:flowerforyou:

It's nice to see we have some new faces. Welcome to each and everyone of you. :flowerforyou: You will enjoy this group. I am on my second time around and these  WONDERFUL LADIES  keep me motivative. I love it here and sure you willl too.

So Miss Lauryn it sounds like you are doing great. I am so happy for you. I am sure you had a wild and crazy birthday. I hope you had a great time. I know you are so bubblely these days. My daughter moved all her stuff out the other night. I did okay. I just wish she was moving into her own place and not with the BF. It is just too soon.

Cathy You sound so happy with your new place too. :flowerforyou: Did you get your clothes line up? Believe me there is nothing wrong with getting a nap in the afternoon. You have been quite busy these past weeks or should I say months. You probably need the extra rest. I am glad you aren't going to be with out the car. I live in the country and it sounds like you do too. I don't like it when i need to get a few items from town and have no way to get them. :noway: It's funny how a car changes every thing.

I know there is a ton more I would liike to address but I have to get at the moment. So its Hello to everyone else and have a wonderful and amazing night.

    TTFN tata for now:bigsmile:

    Hey all!!

Tamm and Melynda - just for the record, although I'm not a big fan of the dentist, the yuck part was for the 7 am, not the dentist!! And no cavities!!! yay!! although i have to have a filling fixed that cracked. bummer.

Lauryn - yay for new apartment!! Sounds fantastic for you and Bella Grace!!

Kristin - oooh cute dentist, that's always fun!!!

Kel - I wish i had a lawn to mow so i could burn that many calories!! maybe I will mow my mom's when i'm home in a week!! :)

Cathy - haha i loved the (s) after boy in your post!!! It's kind of complicated with the boy right now, especially since we're not in the same city this summer because of our internships. We'll see this fall I guess. things got REALLY complicated the night before we left town too so who knows!!

    Maggie - Welcome!!!

Okay, need to get some laundry done and hopefully work out. Then i have to pack for a wedding out of town this weekend because i have to work late tomorrow and I won't have time. What a crazy week this has been!!!!
