Everyone is so inspiring that i had to share too. Its my first time posting anything at all in a forum, but I wanted to share to help keep me motivated. I hope I post the pictures correct, if not maybe someone can help me.

Okay so I started on my own weight loss journey

    I'm 5'5 and a half ;)

    Jan 2010 at 210 lbs
April 2011 joined MFP at 173
    August 2011 currently at 148.2

    Total weight loss 62 lbs
    Goal weight is 140
I'm really happy I found my fitness pal, it really educated me on calories in and calories out and being in general healthier than just a diet. ;)

    'chello ladies!

I'm 5'5, and I have NO clue what my ideal weight is. I'm aiming for 160 though.

    CW: 181
    SW: 189
    GW: 160

I wear a size 8-10 right now. This weight loss thing is taking FOREVER. Seriously. Maybe once I get to 160, I'll want to lose more weight, but right now, I think I'll be really happy at 160. :)

I only just started but I'm 5'5 & here are my goals!

    Starting weight: 190 lbs
    Current weight: 189 lbs
Goal weight: 135 lbs & then I just want to get toned

btw, everyone looks great! So inspiring - I love this website!! :D

Wow, quoting myself here but makes me smile to see how far I've come since September. I never stick with a healthy diet for longer then two months...so making it this long (6 months) & actually seeing a difference is pretty special. :)

    Starting weight: 190 lbs
    Current weight: 174.6 lbs <<
    :D:D:D
Goal weight: 135 lbs & then I just want to get toned

Keep up the great work everyone, you guys look great!

I finally got to the end of the posts - very inspirational!!!

I am 5'5" & here are my stats.
    sw: 228
    cw:174
    gw:145 maybe

I would definitely like to have a healthy bmi, but since I don't ever remember having one I will just have to wait and see what I feel & look like when I get in the ballpark.

    SW:176LBS
    CW:154.2LBS
    GW:145LBS

i thought i would look better at 154lbs, but for some reason i cannot rid myself of my huge thighs and stomach pouch...i hope i can see a difference in 10 more pounds, this has been a lot of work for me. i have a pretty big frame, just like everyone else in my family, but i hope to one day look good in it. i cant remember the last time i looked good.

It is ALL about body fat. The numbers on the scale can be deceiving! Often if you aren't careful to maintain muscle during weight loss (thus making it MUCH slower) then you lose just as much muscle as fat. It is a good percentage of lean muscle vs. fat that gives you that toned lean look.

So ladies, remember, lifting weights is your friend and that slow and steady wins the race. :)

    Hey all,

I'm logging using MFP but following South Beach Diet (in second week now)

    SW 156
    CW 150
GW 135 (?not sure as i can't remember the last time i weighed so little, maybe it will look to skinny! I've already gone down a dress size so i think i must just be really big boned...if i was to go down at the same rate of dress size for another 5 pounds or more i would disappear!)
