Oh hell yeah... you had me at BBQ as well. The onion should be a great complement to this.

OMG. I have to try this. Sweet potatoes are my new favorite food (having just tried them for the first time at age 34). My husband will love this too.

I made this last night and it was SO GOOD!!! I plan to make this once a week!!! I did cut out some calories by not using so much olive oil and hardly any cheese though.

Just made these and they were amazing!!!

I put a little buffalo sauce in and only ate 1/2 the potato along with some cauliflower puree and sweet peas.
I wish the recipe was already available in the food database, guess I'll have to enter it all.

I made these last night! Really good! The picture is terrible quality so I apologize, but I needed to share.

I used a very small sweet potato. I also topped it with extra BBQ sauce. The way I made it, the sweet potato masked the flavor of the meat a little. It tasted a bit bland. I'm going to add a larger amount of spices next time I think. I also skipped adding any salt or pepper.
And I agree with OP that adding something spicy would be awesome! I actually used Red Chilli Powder instead of Paprika and it was great. I'll be making this again.
    Thanks for the recipe!

Oh and the orignial recipe called for bacon....I'll splurge on calories and add that too when I make it again!
