Okay I wobble even in little stilettos!!! I am so clumsy. But, they're cute, so I wear them anyway, even though I fall over sometimes
ha ha ha oh the sacrifices we girls make for looks!!

I love high heels. Especially wedges. Since I'm 5'1 (and 18), I'm extremely short for my age-IMO. But I do the majority wear Converse. If it's like grocery shopping, I wear Converse. If it's like a date, high heels. It depends on the situtation.
*That awkward moment when I decided to be girly and ended up going into Hot Topic because of the Hunger Games t-shirt. Everyone was staring at me.*0 -
<<<My favourite heels! I wear heels all the time, I am short so, like many others, I need the all the help I can get!0

I LOVE to wear heels. I was a Ballroom dancer for 2 years and I had to dance in 2 inch heels. The highest heels I have are only 4 1/2 inch but that puts me at the same height as my hubby.
I even wore heels when I was pregnant and had several people tell me that I made liars out of them because thay had told someone else (daughter/friend) that they had never seen a pregnant woman in heels and here I was 9 months along walking around in 4 1/2 inch heels.
Just practice, practice, practice and it will get easier.0 -
I used to ALWAYS wear heels, and then I decided to get comfortable. You can usually find me in sneakers or birkenstocks (yeah, I'm a hippie). That being said, I do LOVE heels. I own at least 20 pairs, and will wear them when going out with friends. I wish I could rock them all day, but I work in scrubs and sneaks.0

Nope, not in a sexy way at least. I feel like I look slightly tipsy when I wear high heels and walk around in them. Low heels and flats are what I cling to.0
-
When it is absolutely necessary to dress up I can and do. But generally no, I have wide feet and almost no heels will work for me, even in wide, the ones I do squeeze into are usually painful and hard to get through a day in. I choose comfortable shoes like wide tennis shoes, Birkenstocks, or sandals with one wide strap across the top that are adjustable with velcro.0

I'm always in agony in heels. I'm in between sizes and trying to find a nice pair in an e fit and its nigh on impossible :-(0

Back in the 60s and 70s, I could have run a marathon in 4" heels. Maybe that's why I can't wear them anymore! Feet ruined from that, and a profession where I was on my feet 10-12 hours a day for 40 years. Must admit, I liked the attention of being 6' tall in heels.0

You are all doing it wrong....0

I wish I could walk in heels. First I'm 5'9 1/2 and my hubby is 5'10" so if I wear them I'm taller. Second I've never really tried that often so I am unsure of myself in them. I feel like a linebacker walking! hahaha
Any suggestions, because I love the look of them. Sexy and classy.
I am 5'8" and wear heels. I dont feel odd wearing them, even if I am taller than my date.
And the sexier the heels, the more comments I get from men and women. Usually goes like, WOW those shoes are amazing!! No one has ever said, DAMN you are a tall girl! LOL
Embrace your height! I'm 5'5" and if my heels are less than 4 inches I feel like I'm on the ground. Heels can dress up anything...I've definitely been enjoying them a lot more recently than before and am actualy buying at least 4-5 pairs a month...I haven't even begun to count the amount I have. It's a terrible (awesome) sickness.0 -
I would love to be able to wear heels I have never been able to walk in them, they have so many cute ones guess I should start to practice. I wonder how long it will take to be able to wear them somewhere other then the house lol:embarassed:0
-
Not anymore :-(
Nothing over 1 " or I seriously cannot walk at all. My ankle is all screwed up from multiple surgeris and cannot tolerate that position. I miss my heels like caaaaaaraaaaaaaaazzzzzzzzzzzzzy.0 -
since I was 12 (put Dr. Scholls in your heels/heals if you have too)0
-
I just started getting into heels. I will have to practice more.0

I laugh when I hear women say "they're really comfortable!" Seriously? How can you possibly be comfortable when you are teetering forward all day long! Heels (especially stilettos) are terrible on the back & knees...and can actually cause damage to your feet, if worn every day/all day!
I have no arch...so therefore..no heels for me! I can get away with a small wedge, but that's about it. I like to be comfortable!
I have a friend who wears stilettos all the time...she let me try them on one day....I almost fell forward! I asked her, "how do you NOT fall over in these things?" She laughed at me. Maybe cause she knew I was on to something..lol
I'm not dissing on heels........I just don't see how a shoe, with a tiny little heel that's 4-6" high, and absolutely NO SUPPORT, can be comfortable?0 -
Absolutely ... But I don't wear heels 24/7. Only when necessary. But heels are great0
-
Yes...
Drunk in 6 inch heels...0 -
You are all doing it wrong....
That's just hideous!0 -
Funny enough, I just bought a pair of boots with 3 inch heels last night. I've never been able to walk in heels, but these have a decently thick one and for some reason they just work for me. I'm almost 5'10'' with them on and it's awesome.0

Practice, practice, practice!!!
Iwearing heels. I feel super sexy and they make me stand out ( I am 5'8" barefoot).
It does take some getting used to, but with time you will be a sexy heel strutting queen!
YUM:
Also wearing platforms gives you the illusion of a higher heel but really its about a 3-4" heel. The platform at the toe is key . Go try on some !
With the right size and style any heel can be worn comfortably :happy:0 -
I would love love love to wear heals but any time I get a pair I think are comfortable and go out in them I regret it withinin 15mins.
My feet just get so sore, mainly the ball of my foot.0 -
Practice, but keep your legs strong and your calves stretched out enough to allow you to wear other shoe styles.
I wore heels daily, for years, when I was in the military. I finally quit when I had a job requiring me to walk up and down a long hill a couple of times a day. I overcame my vanity and learned to appreciate lower heels. Now, I only wear heals for dress-up occasions.
My 90-year-old mother-in-law has worn only heels all of her adult life. At this point, she is unable to walk without at least 2-inch heels. That poses a huge problem when trying to purchase slippers to wear around the house. Finding nylon stockings made to be worn with garter belts is another challenge. The last ones I found were on a website I think was directed at "women-of-the-night." I can only hope high-heel slippers and old-time stockings make a come-back before she needs more. That could happen. I never thought the hip-hugger, bell-bottomed slacks I loved in the early 70's would be back, but I'm wearing them again.0 -

I love heels!!! Platform heels preferably... They give you more balance and support for your feet more than stiletto's do... I also love wedges... I can walk, strut, and run in heels0

Yes... I

I can walk in heals  *ducks and runs for cover from losing my man card.
I sold ladies shoes for about 7 years, 4 of those at Nordstrom. I tried a few on :smokin:0 -
I wear size 12 MENS shoes, so I don't often wear heels. I am incredibly awkward and hubby always teases me, but he does enjoy them in the bedroom. :blushing: I don't have to walk very far if we're in the bedroom!0
