    if they are from giving birth they will fade and you wont be able to notice them. just give it time. i know others will probably not like this response but tanning really helps as well. not spray tanning but actual in a tanning bed, tanning.

    OP It seems normal for us to worry about stretch marks..the ones from giving birth to my boys just prove I'm their mother. The new ones from gaining weight and now losing....Well...One day I was obsessing over them..then realized that they're just a road map of my life...showing where I've been and how far I've come.

    I just blogged about the things I hate about my body and my stretch marks are #1. My soon-to-be-ex hated them, so it's good to know not everyone feels the same way.

    It is hard to come across someone that does not have any stretch marks at all....even those guys that are built will have some as lifting heavy and building muscle stretches the skin just like fat does.

    I had a boyfriend who asked me when they would go away, so clearly he was bothered by them. But he also used to make little remarks about my weight (I wore a size 7 at the time), talk about how he prefers smaller breasts (I'm a DD) and many other things that said more about his character than my body. Being who I am, I didn't take any of it seriously and he's no longer in my life.

    I've answered this question before, but I'll state it again. Every stretch mark my wife has, she got from having the three girls that I love. They were the greatest gift I have ever received and my wife's stretch marks are a reminder of that gift. I love every single one of those stretch marks and the young women that they represent.

    they probably arent a big deal but he knew you were insecure about them so he needled on that topic to be hurtful. I've been a single mother for 4 years and i've never had a boyfriend want me any less because i have stretchmarks, which thankfully have faded to almost nothing finally.

    if you cant guess my age then i guess i'm doing something right. i'll take my weekly tanning session and faded stretch marks any day over a bad attitude. :wink:
