Daisy, you seem to be getting discouraged. Try not to let a gain get you down. You can and will do this. If you want to indulge a little for your birthday you are entitled. Drink all your water, add in a work out, or switch up your current workout a bit to get you on the down swing again.
I am concerned about you. The first step to giving up is self loathing after we do something we see as "wrong". You lost so much weight so quickly in the beginning and have been struggling since your vacation to take it back off. Life is going to have vacations, and parties all along the way. We need those things to get us through the rest of the crap. Once we have had the fun we may need to work a little harder to take it back off, but focus on how great you will feel when you do.

Thanks so much, your right I'm feeling discuraged and a little helpless at the moment. I feel like I've made this life change(and so far I'm not tempted to stop which is the good thing right?) but I just wish my entire mood wasn't so affected by the scale. I know I'm doing welll and that it's not ment to fall off overnight but..... I don't know I just feel...... sad and a little helpless0 -

Okay well I'm back to my start weight after my TOM. I'm worried that I've hit the dreaded plateau phase. I've been exercising every day and have not gone over on calories, although I increased my calorie intake by a couple hundred so I lose these last 20 lbs a little slower and healthier. Not sure what to do at this point.

I'm doing good with my 5x a week workingout. I feel so much better and getting up every morning is easy now, I'm not dragging my butt out of bed. Some mornings I even wake up just before the alarm.

Was doing good then visited relatives and messed up. At least I lost 0.5 pounds instead of gaining.0 -
This is bad. OK, so I said that I just didn't want to gain weight this week because of the hubby's B-day celebration this last weekend, and I"m ok with being at the same weight. But, I also took my body fat measurements, and I am UP 2% in body fat from when I began this process! WHAT the ....? I've been exercising almost everyday for the past three weeks, and I'm up in fat? I had some water and measured again, then I was up in weight (at 138, and down 1% of body fat which is still 1% more than when I started). So here is my question, the more weight I lose, the higher the percentage of fat I have? Or am I losing muscle? But I weight train a lot. I also do two core classes a week, 3 yoga classes a week, and I try to run 3-4 times a week. So how can it be that I'm gaining fat????? This is depressing, because now with 32% body fat, I just moved into the "obese" category. Talk about taking the wind out of my sails.

Great job on everyones hard work and weight loss. I am stunned I lost another 2 pounds. I was in a wedding on Saturday. It was a beautiful wedding. My best friend looked positively stunning. I love her so much. She actually chose flattering (style and color) brides maids dresses. They made all the bridesmaids look great and we all had dramatically different coloring, skintone and body types. Any way, I ate a ton of food this weekend and wedding cake, so I did not expect to lose weight this week. I am very pleasantly surprised. Probably water weight from not being bloated from my time of the month. Regardless, I am happy to not have gained any weight. Thanks for the support!

Let's think about this logically. There is no way that you gained 2% body fat in a couple of days. NO WAY!! Those body fat percentage scales are notoriously inaccurate. Do not pay attention. I can see gaining a little, probably again water weight. Looks like you are doing lots of workouts you will be building muscle even if the naked eye can't spot it yet.
If I were you I would use a regular scale for weigh ins, and maybe just check in on the fat measuring scale once every 6 weeks or so. Even consider getting rid of that scale entirely. You know you are doing well. Don't let an ineffective machine take the wind out of your sails.0 -
