Nope! I don't care what "scientific studies" show, I'm a straight as an arrow female. I don't watch porn and even close my eyes or look away when two people of the same sex start to kiss.

I'm sure hoping you just have a problem with public displays of affection and look away when a girl and a boy kiss, too. Otherwise, the tone of that sounds like a brag.

I am pansexual. This means I can get aroused by every combination of gender/sex/genitals there is. I made a chart once, and I think the total number of combinations was around 16.

How I see it, your sexual orientation is based on what you want to have sex with. Just a penis or just a vagina turns you on? Heterosexual/homosexual. Vaginas AND penises turn you on? Bisexual (bi=2). Vaginas, penises, AND genitals that belong to a transgendered person that are in an in-between zone or genitals that might not really even be there or that do not fit neatly into a category? Pansexual (pan=all).

If you are a woman and like feminine men you are NOT bisexual. You still like that penis. Also, some homosexual people would not be interested in having sex with a transgendered person, even if that person looks the same sex/gender. It's all about the groin, and what turns you on. Some people simply do not get sexually aroused at all, those people are asexual.

Best bit? It's all about the groin. :flowerforyou: Great post

Anyone who believes that to be true either does not know they definition of bisexuality, or does not think logically. There's no way, anyone could think every single 18+ year old woman on the entire Earth is bi. That makes zero sense to even fathom.

But wouldn't it be awesome? It would be.

I don't really care what other people do with their life. I just know I'm not bi. If every woman on the Earth was bi, and I wasn't then I'd still continue living my life, happily.

I think you are bisexual if you have sex with both men and women. I do not think you are bisexual if you have solely kissed one or two women. That's not sex, at least not where I am from. You are bi-curious if that's all you are doing.

But that's absurd. Men and women can be pretty sure they're straight long before they've ever had sex with the opposite sex. I'm a total virgin but my pornography collection would seem to indicate that I'm quite bisexual.

Ha Ha. Well I stand corrected. Apparently if you have a porn collection that indicates you are bisexual, you must be!

I'm not sure if you're being sarcastic or not. Honest. I'm just trying to make out your logic, because your logic would seem to lead to that one is asexual until they've had sex.

I see what you are saying now. When I made this comment initially, I just meant that being bi-sexual means you have sex with both sexes. Being bi-sexual is not based on whether or not you'd have a relationship with the same sex or an emotional connection with the same sex. It means you have physical relations with them (and emotional or not, but you actually have sex with them). You can lean one way or another prior to having sex. You can be attracted to both. But I don't think you can put the actual label on it until you have done it. Prior to having sex with a woman, I would say I was attracted to them but had I never acted on it I would not have called myself bi-sexual.

Okay, that's fair. I disagree that you can't embrace a label until you've had sex because I think that's ultimately the individual's decision, but I'm glad you clarified.

    No problem.

I was married to a man for 12 years .... was in a relationship with a woman for 3 years. I'm definitely bi -- although I absolutely hate that label. I think sexuality and attraction are a very individual and unique thing. I know that I'm attracted to someone's personality much more than their gender. I find the same qualities attractive in both men and women.

haha it's true, girls don't admit it. They "THINK" it's something else. Sometimes if you ask a girl if she's bi she'd tell you no, but then a week later she tells you she had a girlfriend.

Ask a girl this, "if you where watching an adult film, would you rather watch guy on guy action, or girl on girl action." This was done in a study. No one liked the guy on guy action, everyone liked the girl on girl action. This was tested with both sexes.

Sexuality is more on a spectrum. Guys are either very straight or very gay, not really in between. Girls fall in to the between category.

Okay... so here is the deal, women's bodies are just beautiful... not so much guys. so a womsn can look at a girl and think she is hot... i mean, wow hot!... but that doesn't mean that she is bi. I look at certain celerities or music videos of certain singers and think that they are super hot with a rockin bod... but I would never... never... experiment, date, or anything with another female. I have no desire for another female but I think the woman's body when fit, it beautiful...

We were talking about this in my psych class yesterday. It turns out that it is true. Girls have sexualy placsity and the brain cares more that we get off when we are horny then who gets it off. Thank our ancestors for this. Did you also know that the more older brothers a guy has increases his chances of being gay along with what hormones are present before birth.

I think I would demand my money back from this "school". Where the heck is your data to back the bovine fecal matter they are feeding you.

I think we'll be better off without our rigid views about gender, but stereotypes and gender roles are so deeply ingrained. I'd probably give myself a 2.5 on this scale of yours. I like vaginas and penises and I am attracted to transgendered people that look the typical image of either femininity or masculinity. I like blurring the typical image of gender identification for fun or just a sense of rebellion but sexually I can't say that I'm all that aroused by it.

No. I know women who are nothing but straight. But I do know a lot who would expirement and a lot who claim "bi" and a lot who switched teams completely. I think society is just becoming more accepting so it's more common for women to try it or admit it.

ETA: What's not to love about women :)

    4463764.png

    Exactly. Women are pretty fun.
I think some people have trouble explaining/determining sexual orientation when you consider that you can be sexually attracted to and active with one or both sexes, but not necessarily pursue a relationship with both. I guess the technical definition would pertain only to sex, possibly, but it's one of those grey areas for most. Even if they're comfortable with the answer, the accuracy of what they may share with others varies.

    I'm straight.
I kissed a few girls at school but it was mainly to get free drinks and attention!
I really struggle though if someone asks me which male celebrity I find attractive - I say Ryan Reynolds, because he reminded me of my boyfriend in The Proposal! - but the truth is, I'd much rather look at a female. I think the female form is just so much more aesthetically pleasing (not naked! I'm don't think either sexes genitalia (SP?) is pretty and big boobs freak me out a little bit - probably because I've always had a small chest!)

Girls are just better to look at than boys - I could name my female celeb crushes for hours! But that doesn't mean I want to sleep with them! I appreciate it like I'd appreciate art, or a pretty dress!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and is not necessarily gender exclusive.

Ever heard of Kinsey? He did a study in the 50s? 60s? Cant remember. Anyways, in his work he rated human sexuality from a 0 to a 6. Zero being straight, 6 being completely homosexual. In his studies, he stated he never met a zero, or a six. And that was then.

Biologically, women are hard wired differently than men. I learned in biology, that women can get aroused at any suggestion of sex. They proved this by showing a woman a series of snapshots and hooking her up to machines that measured visceral responses. When shown images of beastiality, homosexual or heterosexual sex, women responded to the stimulous in a positive reading. This doesn't mean they enjoyed it. It means that biologically they responded to it. -- to clarify.

Where as males, did not. If it wasn't something they enjoyed emotionally, it was negative response.

It was one of the first experiments in sexuality that described how women and men physiologically are different.

Having these examples, I would have to say yes. But, this doesn't mean that there is "possibility" as the line would suggest. It merely means that as a warm blooded creature, the capacity is there.

I was just curious one day, if bi was two, how much would pan really be? I wish I kept it, I wrote it in a random notebook ha ha.

It was a chart with gender (how one expresses themselves): masculine, feminine, non
sex (your chromosomes/your biologic sex): male, female, non
And then there are those individuals who might not feel they have any sex or gender.

Overall it is a spectrum, it's not so easy to just place an individual in a perfect box. But yeah, there are a lot of options out there. Diversity is awesome!
