My goal is to lose 30 lbs. by Christmas to bring me down to 159 lbs. Yay ... good luck all!!


Looks like I've gained 1/2 a pound since last week ... first time gaining since I started on June 9th with MFP ... you guessed it ... TOM is here for a visit. It's all good ... my progress has been great so far.

    I missed weigh in last week. I was EXCITED to get on the scale this am. I am down 5lbs.:noway: That now puts me at 164 lbs.yipeee!! Now to be really good camping for the next 4 days so I don't gain anything back!!

    Well if I drop another 5.2 lbs in the next 2 weeks I will reach my first mini goal. Not sure that is achievable but I am going to give it a shot...

    I got a new scale the other day and there is a 3 pound difference between the new one and the one I used to use at my parents. Now, it was very fun this morning to get on and see a 6 pound loss :laugh: but in reality, it was 3 pounds! :bigsmile: But, I am still extremely happy about that! It is my biggest loss in a week so far, and I have no clue how I did it! Oh well, I will see what the numbers say next week to see if it was real!

    Great job to those who had weight loss this past week! Hang in there for those of who did not.

    What is your mini goal for today? Mine is to avoid the mindless snacking I have been doing lately between the hours of 3 and 4 and then again at 8-9 at night. For some reason those time frames seem to be my down fall. Also to drink extra water today.

    Joelle!!!! Welcome aboard!!! To get the ticker you go into Tools and choose the ticker you want, set it up, copy the code it gives you, go back to my home and into settings, paste it into where you set up your signiture. Ta Da ... you should have a ticker. It will show up when you post to the message boards. Great to have you with us!!     Week 1 July 22 - 300.4 down 2.6 I'll take it!
    Week 2 July 29 – 300.4 No loss but after camping last weekend I’m surprised I didn’t gain. Hopefully next week will show a loss. ;)

    Week 3 August 5 - 299.6 -.8 lost really been struggling. Still trying though.

    Well, looks like I enjoyed my vacation a little too much. Dang it!! Also it's almost TOM so that probably doesn't help. I am not liking these numbers but I have to be honest and be accountable for my actions, that's what got me here in the first place, right? Any way, here it goes. I gained 8.6lbs back and have lost 2 of those just this week alone (probably water weight and the other 6.6 are actual pounds :mad: )
    But I am back on track and hopefully it won't take too long to lose them again!!

    Congrats to everyone that is doing so well. I am so proud of all of you!! Keep up the good work!

    Good morning everyone. I'm feeling blah this morning ... where is the sunshine ... I just can't seem to wake up without a good dose of sunshine today. The radio promised me some for this afternoon and we all know the weather forcasts are never wrong. Oh well, we'll see. I'm looking forward to some kind of hike tonight ... I downloaded some fun funky get you moving music onto my ipod ... you know "Black eyed peas", "Lady Ga Ga", "Pit bull". That should get me pounding out the sweat in no time. Anyway ... just wanted to say hi to all and wish you a happy, healthy day.

    At this rate, I won't lose 20 lbs by Christmas. I'll be lucky if I lose 5. In fact, at the beginning of this week, I had gained all the weight since I started. So I can't tell if I'm really losing weight (all 1 1/2 lbs for the month:noway: ) or I'm just looking at natural water/TOM gains and losses and I've really done nothing over the month. I guess all I can do is double my efforts. Just a little disappointed.

    My goal is to lose 20 lbs. by Christmas to bring me down to 120 lbs. But I'll be happy at 125 (I'm short and very small framed). If I meet my goal, I'll go shopping for myself at all the after-Christmas sales!!! I'll probably do it anyway, but I won't feel guilty about it; it will be my reward.... hmmm what should I get, maybe a smoking hot outfit for New Years Eve?
