There is a lot of controversary about so much proten in one sitting and most think you can't even process more than 25-30g at one time -- so I would definitately split this in half.

That siad, if you're watching sodium, 1 cup of cottage cheese is about half your daily sodium.... i would use plain greek yogurt if you're watching sodium.

Or you could just order a good protein with cake batter flavor and it would be a heck of a lot easier :) That's what I do! lol

I looooovvee desserts so this is a nice way to jazz up my protein shakes. I will be cutting the recipe in half though. 1200 calorie per day goal keeps me a bit limited.

This sounds awesome, and the strawberry idea sounds even better. Suggestions on the vanilla protein powder, anyone?

I really like the Pure Protein Vanilla powder - it is Whey protein and 25g protein. pretty good.

Recipe is definitely going to be made... May be able to convince the hubby into eating cottage cheese..

I always use 1/2 cup of cottage cheese in my smoothie and I buy the brand with the least amount of sodium. You can also use almond milk and I have even made it with water and it's just as good.

Also, I routinely use vanilla pudding and it's fabulous. I also switch the protein powders and pudding to make it chocolate. All very yummy.
