April Daily Step Challenge

Challenge is to do 10,000 steps in a day. You can do this for any one day or try for the entire month. Jump right in at any time! You can set a lower or higher goal if you wish. Our main goal is to keep activate every day!

It's easy to join - Just post here to begin!

You will need a step counter to keep track of your steps and then post your results daily here.

    I'm in again. Steps might be down when I am biking, but I will continue to log it. My pedo is on 24/7, except when biking and sleeping, of course.

    I would like to join this challenge. Spring is in the air thus more opportunity to do my walking outside and as a gal that has a desk job I have to really push myself to get those steps in some days. Step challenge sounds like just the ticket:)

    Tomorrow starts our new months. I have a new step counter so I will hopefully have no more days with low or no step counts.

    I'm in also! Do we post our steps daily, or just track them somewhere else and post at the end of the month?
  • I'm in! 10,000 steps is right in line with my current goal, it'd be nice to have others keep me in check!

    My March Step TOTAL STEPS 295,548 an avenge of 9,533

    Wow! Your average is getting clsoer to 10,000!

    I have a spreadsheet now so I can determine what my average is for April.

    There is a conversion chart at http://www.10000steps.org.au/pdfs/conversion.pdf. Suggests counting 1000 steps for 10 minutes of moderate intensity activity, like biking (activity equal to the effort of a brisk walk), and 2000 steps for high intensity activity.

    My goal is 10,000 per day. I don't have any trips planned this month so I'm hoping for more consistency in April.

    Cicicat did this last month. I borrowed the idea from her.
  • Goal 7000 steps a day since I am at a sedentary job most of the time.

    4/1 - 5949 I got most of that the night before when I was dancing. but it was after midnight. I had a restfull day.
    4/2 - ??? I forgot my fitbit at home today. but I did go walking at lunch. Generally do about 3500 steps at lunch.
