Pizza Craving? Try Pizzadillas < 200 cal

Hi Guys. One of my HUGE cravings is pizza
I know nothing can replace pizza but I thought I'd share my super easy, yummy low cal way of curbing my craving.
Dempter's BodyWise Tortillas are only 80 calories each.

Add pizza sauce and veggies. I used walmart brand pizza sauce (seemed to have less calories) and mushrooms and green peppers. Obviously if you add meat/chicken the calories will go up. I was thinking of trying out turkey pepperettes one of these days. Might be a nice low(er) cal substitute for pepperoni (plus theyre nice and quesadilla sized).

Add cheese and put in pan with 1/2 second spray of olive oil. I used Kraft TexMex cheese. It looks like a lot more than there is cuz its on top of the veggies. Maybe 1/4 to 1/6 cup. More cheeze = more calories. Plus it's harder to close with more stuff in there.

Let the cheese warm up a bit and fold over the tortilla so it sticks shut. (Awesome spatula is optional but highly recommended).

wait a couple mins and flip to warm the other side of the tortilla.

Consume with much merriment!

This version was 194 Cal

Hope this helps someone with their cravings. Or at least gives ya guys a yummy choice.
Take care :flowerforyou:
(ps. I love friends)

In the time it took to warm my oven to 425f, I rolled up 28 lean turkey meatballs with italian seasoning into 1.4 oz balls. They melt down to an easy count 1oz. Now all I have to do is put 3-5 in a bowl, cover with spagetti sause, 1oz part skim mozzarella and nuke for 45 seconds. Beats my spagetti and pizza craving in a tangy mouth watering way. Only 235-320 cals
Sometimes I go a bit carby and put 1/2 a multigrain muffin on the bottom for 50 more cals.0 -
Awesome spatula!!

I never thought to do those in a pan before! They look great! I do make tortilla pizzas sometimes (with Dempster's bodywise--my favourite!) but I keep them open and put them in the oven.0

That is an amazing idea!!!0

Wow this recipe got me all excited. I've been having a hard time with the urge to have pizza. We went shopping today and this was on the list. I couldn’t find any low Cal tortillas though. Wife brought up hey want not use the light English muffins!!! 90 calories per muffin, 8 slices of turkey peperoni 35 calories, 1 tablespoon pizza sauce est 15 calories, pinch of low fat mozzarella est 15 calories.
TOTAL Calories for 2 mini pizzas = 155. So instead of the tortilla you have the deep dish feel when biting into it. Im hooked, thanks for the idea.0 -
thanks for this recipe. I get a pizza craving about once a week so this will be perfect :happy:0
