worst comment ever made about your weight

When are you due? NOT Pregnant
OMG. I get this all the time. People will rush up and ask then slip away sheepishly when I tell them I'm not. But I don't let them see that it bothers me....
The best is my co-workers. They found out I was trying to lose weight and started making bets on how much bigger I would be in a few months. They compare me to some of the other workers who are way overweight and don't care. It makes me so mad, the lack of respect in my workplace, but I know deep down inside they aren't happy with their lives. But it still hurts...0 -
thank you well said
i find its what they dont say0 -
Are you pregnant?....I just laugh it off and say, no this is my cheesburger bump wanna rub it?b:happy:
LOL... Thanks for sharing your humor!!!0 -
I dated a guy in college who said that I would never be attractive because I was heavy. He was the kind of guy that wouldn't claim me as his GF in public, but only in private. He tried to say he was he best I was ever going to get... (that didn't last long) and 4 years later, I'm 53lbs lighter and I have a man who loves me NO MATTER my size and is proud to hold my hand (and my waistline)!
Good for you sister. Feel sorry for insecure people like that!0 -
Well, my mum has been telling me my whole life that I need to lose weight (including when I was 100lb in high school)
Now that I have lost quite a bit and starting to look good she goes on about how I can't eat certain foods... e.g. eggs and cheese. (hellooo protein!)
When she sits there eating maccas!
Pleased that you seem to understand GOOD nutrition! You didn't get it from your mum, but you do have it. Be proud. I used to be friends with a girl in primary/high school and she was skinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnny. Very skinny girl. No one would debate it. YET her MUM used to give her only HALF a sandwich for lunch because she would say her daughter was too fat!!!! WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE/MUMS?!
Sorry - know this is your mum. I have mother issues so this is probably while this rubs me the wrong way even more!!! Sorry you go through that
haha that's okay you can say what you wanna imho  i try not to be mean about people but she is the only person on this planet which i actually hate0 -
Oh, I have had them all, and maybe some none of you have heard. And this was all in elementary, middle, and high school. I'm very lucky that people at my university are polite and kind to me, except this one girl who always reminds me about it; well actually she's getting to the point where she doesn't say anything anymore because I AM losing weight. So HA.
Anyway, wow guys, I can't believe so many people could say so many hurtful things, but at the same time, I believe it because it has happened to me. I'm not proud of it, and this is why I'm not being very detailed. I still can't accept the things they said.
Another thing, when my boyfriend and I discuss my weight, usually he's supportive, but the other times he will say things that do hurt... I know he's trying to help, but it just hurts because it has hurt for so long. I desperately long for the day where I don't have to look like this anymore just so I don't have to hear how big I am.
On the bright side, I'm halfway through my goals! Yay me! :flowerforyou:0 -
my dad was always on my case growing up, as was my brother. But it was a family friend tht made a comment that just stuck. She was leaning on me and said I was so comfortable because of how soft and squishy I was .....never was a good friend, but I will never forget that
Thank you for sharing this! My son is not fat, but is very very cuddly and I often say that to him (in a loving and cuddly way). Perhaps I should stop. Hmmm ... he is 9 - hope I am not scaring him!?! NEVER thought of it like that, but then - I never considered him fat. I should stop. Just in case he takes it like ^^ that. Thanks for the reality check. I would NEVER want my son to hear the things I used to growing up. My uncle (father to two unmarried, and older cousins) once told me when I was a young teen that I would never get married, because no man would ever love me because I was fat. Seriously.0 -

Wow, we sound so alike cept this isn't completely directed at weight. After I told my mum I got my first boyfriend.. "who the hell would wanna date you?!" like reaaaly mum?0 -
"Why not just kill yourself, you fat ugly troll."
WTF?!?!??!?!?! WOW - TERRIBLE! ... SO GLAD YOU DIDN'T!!!!0 -
Gosh...these are so sad. People are so damned mean!! Even if we are/were fat/chubby....as my favorite bumper sticker says...'I may be fat but you're ugly and I can diet" Usually they don't get it. So then I also realize that not only are they ugly (inside and out) but the poor dears are dumb too!
I was with my sisters helping my parents. They were moving and I offered my time to come over and pack up their attic. Dad yells at me, be careful, there's a 200lb weight limit on those pull-down stairs. I cried and after my mother was done with him, I actually got the first apology from him--EVER.
In farm and tractor...(sis swears to this day it was an accident) but I was bending over and at the same time she pushed a button on a cow toy and it went "MOOOOOOOOOOOO" as I bent over. I will remember that feeling until my dying day.
Another time I was riding a ride at the carnival and everyone I got on the ride with was fine but the attendant had to come over in front of everyone and keep trying to push down my safety harness....talk about wanting to die of embarrassment.
My dad would ground me from the kitchen, I wasn't allowed to have any food unless he approved it (looking back when I was a kid, I had a few extra pounds but I can now see that I wasn't chubby, much less fat).
My little sister was about 4 y.o and she made the comment that when she grew up, she wanted to be just like me. Awwww....then my father said, "No matter what you do, you'll never get as big as your sister" "-hahahaha"
I broke my foot/ankle/leg two years ago and at walmart, I used the electric cart. It was very hard to use crutches for a few hours in walmart. My father felt it necessary to go in front of me yelling, 'Wide Load". It made it even worse when I backed up and it beeped. =(
Srry, guess I had a bit of un-repressed memories. Oh yeah, my real name is Bobbie Jo, so all I ever heard was "Blobby Jo".
One day I actually stood up to my dad and it felt fantastic. He was looking at me smirking, not long ago, asking how many pounds I'd packed on. I told him, that actually, I had lost some weight. He laughed. I asked him how much he weighed. He rubbed his preggers tummy and proudly replied...205lbs. I laughed my *kitten* off and told him that I was down to 195lbs (or something like that) and I'm at least 5 inches taller than my father. The look on his face was PRICELESS and this time, everyone in the room got a laugh at his expense. And since he's so short, my husband gets him back for me by telling him, "get back in your little hole, TROLL"
Srry for writing so much, this topic really hit home to me and hugs to you all. I think you are all beautiful :flowerforyou:0 -
Watermelon belly and cottage cheese butt0

In High School the other kids would yell "EarthQuake" while holding onto their lockers for dear life as I walked down the hall. And when I would come home crying and upset about my day in "Hell", My dad would comfort me by saying " your fat, you should just say sticks and stones may break my bones, but names won't hurt me".. But dang it, the words did hurt. He would also tell me that "no guy is gonna want you, because your fat." No wonder I was to affraid to talk to people growing up.0

I had a similar bf in college. I was skinny when we started dating and gained about 40 while we were dating (basically stress eating because he was an *kitten*). He would tell me it was my fault he cheated on me because I was so fat. Nice. Don't know why it took me so long to dump his *kitten*.0 -
After repeatedly cheating on me and then making an agreement to only sleep with me if I put on porn of skinny blonde chicks or held a porn magazine while we were having sex, my ex said, "If you weren't so fat and disgusting, I wouldn't want to sleep with other women. If you looked like this {he ripped out and threw a Playboy centerfold at me}, I'd never stick my d**k anywhere else. But YOU DON'T... count yourself lucky that you get any at all Lard *kitten*!"0

"Pleasantly plump"
"No offense, Sam, but your legs are really fat."
"Yeah, if I were you, I'd want to lose weight."
**NOW*** --> "You still have A LOT of work to do, but you're looking better."0 -

I'd rather be stabbed and shot. At least then the doctors could heal me. Words hurt forever. Us strong people take those words and use them to our advantage. No wonder so many people have eating disorders. Dammit.0 -

I was standing at a bus stop one day, a young guy walked passed me and said "frigging hippo !"
See, that's when you follow at a safe distance shrieking, "The paternity test says it's yours! Stop walking away from me! And when are you going to pay the hospital bill from breaking my jaw?"
He will never say anything rude to anyone in public again.
Now I really want to try this! LOL0 -

"that size is probably too small for you". When I put on the dress and it not only fit but looked amazing she said "oh wow, I'm surprised that fits you so well". This was in a high end store, I ended up buying the dress but when the lady checking me out asked me who helped me with the dress I asked "are you guys on commission?" to which she replied "yes" I said " then no one" with a smile. I saw the lady walk up to her after and was pissed. I waved at her sweetly. Btw, the dress was a size 8...0

OMG.... ((HUGS)). Hey, even if you had extra weight...you are still beautiful. That guy is a *kitten*! I'm so sorry he did that to you =(0 -

I had ran into an old high school friend that I had not seen for years...The first words out of her mouth was..."I did not know you were pregnant again, When are you due?" WoW!!! Talk about your heart sinking clear down to your toes.0

My mother was the worst. I was always the skinny kid in high school. I put on weight in my late 20's. We were shopping one day while I was still in grad school. She grabbed a couple of shirts I was buying and paid for them along with her stuff. We walked out of the store and I told her that I could have bought those things. She patted me on the hand and said, "It's okay, dear. Maybe if you have a couple new items it will inspire you to lose some weight."
I was speechless.
The next few months brought more critical weight comments. She couldn't get used to have her 5'10" daughter weigh more than 120 pounds.
I finally told her, "Mom, my weight is none of your f____ing business."
End of weight comments.
I was also asked by a man in the workplace if I had kids. He had emmigrated here from another part of the world and this was his first job in the United States. I explained to him that I didn't have children. He said, "You? You, with the big baby hips?"
He thought this was a compliment, and I laughed it off. Ouch.0 -

i was at walgreens picking up one of my multiple perscriptions (many medical issues) and a woman walked up RUBBED MY STOMACH and asked "boy or girl and whats your due date?" needless to say i was pissed and heartbroked (had already lost 20 pounds at that point) literally put my fist up when the pharmacist called my name not a shining moment for me0

1)my brother asked if I forgot to tell him I was pregnant last Thanksgiving- but honestly he's not rude, just kinda dumb
2) about a week after having my 2nd son I was put back in the hospital where they were forcing all kinds of meds and fluids in me. (i had retained so much water it was affecting my heart rate which was at 181 just sitting) so after water pills, and pain meds and being sick whenever I ate after 7 days, i lost 30 lbs (mostly wate rand had only gained 9 throughout my pregnancy) So my hubs was helping me into the shower and said honey this is the hottest you have ever looked----yeah, hadnt had an actaul shower or sunlight in a week I'm pale and greasy as hell...but sorta thin...thanks *kitten*0 -
I've been overweight since I was about 13. Oh, I've gotten all of the comments already posted, (pregnant, hippo, if only you lost...., pretty face...)
Here are a couple that my mother would reinforce:
"You'll never find a husband if you're fat."
"No one will love you if you're fat."
"Who wants a fat girl?"
(I have an amazing husband who loves me no matter what size I am, thinks I'm beautiful and sexy -- and he is a healthy weight and is not a "chubby chaser.").
Once while I was ice skating and wearing a yellow ski jacket, a group of teenagers started skating around me singing "Yellow Submarine."
Society makes it wrong to make jokes and comments about a person's race, creed, ethnic origin, handicap, disability, and even enacted laws against hate speech. Yet, it accepts that it is perfectly okay to make fun of overweight people or people with eating disorders like anorexia. This is just so sad.0 -
What an *kitten*! I hope he found what he was looking for--a skinny woman as ugly as he was.0
