I still have a LONG way to go, but I wanted to post a one month comparison of my arms (which are for sure one of my toughest body parts to drop weight from)...
i've always loved weight training, but never did it consistently, now that I am... here are results after only ONE MONTH! I'm shocked, really. I may actually achieve my GW and body faster than I thought :-)

That's so good, congrats!
Yes girls tend to steer away from weights, thinking they're going to end up massive thugs with no neck, but the truth is this: without illegal drugs you don't have enough testosterone to get big! You'll only get stronger and reduce your body fat and get toned!!! Also, you only burn calories for about 20 minutes after a cardio workout, but for TWO HOURS after a weights workout!
Weights all the way, yay!0 -
Magnificent work! You look great - and that only took a month? What weight and exercises did you use?0

thanks everyone...
YessiOR... My current arm/back training routine (I say back too, because when I do a lot of my back exercises I can feel my arm muscles BURNING):
Bicep curls, dumbbells - 15 lb
Bicep curls with the pulley machine - 65-70 lb
bent over rows with the pulley machine - 80-90 lb
Cable low row - 70 lb
lat machine - 70-80lb
dead lifts - 90 lbs
I do each, 6-8 reps, for 3-4 sets (sometimes for the last set I don't count, but do as many reps as I can until failure, without compromising posture)
2-3 times a week... depending on recovery0 -
Wow! Incredible progress! If you said this took you 6 months I would still be really impressed.0

I'd just say start with heavy, but not TOO heavy weights... machines are a good way to test out different movements before using free weights... listen to your body and don't push too hard (you don't want to end up injuring anything and being set back)...
also stretching is a realllly good idea after doing weights... reduces the achy feeling and tightness0 -
DUUUUUDEEEE!!
That looks great!! I accidentally pressed the enter button or something. I did something to make it post before it was supposed to post. but you look great!0
