    Morning Black Team,

Tamara- Everytime I start to get tired of losing I remember how hard the transition to maintenance will most likely be. My heart goes out to you. I know what you mean about eating something and feeling gross. It's a tough time in your journey because eating below you calories isnt the best thing for you. But you don't want to eat junk either. Hang in there. You'll find your comfort zone.

Amanda-Glad you got a good walk in. It's so good to see your face around again.

Sam-We miss you! hope your having a great time!

Jeannie-I understand. Since DW and I decieded that two kids will likley be it for us I have already been looking forward to grand kids. lol Same feeling here though. I DEFINATELY dont want any of my boys having a kid anytime within the next 20 years. But I still want a grandbaby. lol

Have a great day my friends!

I am thinking I could get some grandkids AND free vacations by offering to go with you and Beth or Sara and Doug when you go on vaca! I will play in the sand, run down the beach, make sandcastles, apply sunscreen, get the sand outta there eyes, bring them for peepee and poopoo back to the hotel room
all while y'all sit under the umbrella and sip MaiTais......watching your babies having a ball with the crazy nana who kisses and hugs them!!!

    :flowerforyou: Jeannie
(I know I am weird, but I really do think of these things:tongue: )

Morning all, still having a rough time of it. Every day has been 'today will be the day I pull it back together' which by mid afternoon quickly turns into 'I screwed up today, tomorrow will be the day'.....

I have been procrastinating, I have been slacking, I have really not done well for the most part since the beginning of July, August has been dreadful.

I'm off to really plan my workouts. For real today. I'm off to measure myself, which might make me cry. I've found about 4 or 5 pounds and I can see where it is, I'm going to torture myself with the tape measure to confirm.

So stupid. Thought it would never happen to me. Yeah, right. Here I am.

Tamara- glad you are back into it. It's as much a mental game as anything else. It's hard when our heads aren't in it. I can only imagine how hard it is to go from successfully losing (and so much) to trying to hang at your happy weight. I can't figure out how to hang at my unhappy weight, so I know I still have a lot of learning to do.

Jeannie- I bet you will have more than 6 offers for adpoted grandbabies before this is over! Every once in a while when I see a cute baby, I get the twinge, mostly not. I go to stores, hear kids screaming, throwing fits, parents looking frazzled, see my friends who had kids later in life doing all the baby stuff and none of it really makes me want to revisit the baby days. Sure I miss it here and there, but mostly I love my freedom. I had kids early enough that I didn't do the 'me time' in my mid twenties so I am soaking it up now. Give me a few years and I'll probably be more where you are. Just not yet.

Sam- glad to hear vacation went well and you'll be back around here soon.

To the rest of my black team- keep on keepin'!

*Hanging head for walk of shame*

I'm telling you this cause it makes it hit home if it's not a secret...... It's so much easier to pretend it didn't happen if I don't really tell. So here goes, my dirty little secret.

The last time I measured was 6/23- so 2 months ago.
Weight- as of today, managed to refind 6.4 pounds
    Body fat %- Up 1%
My chest, waist and thighs are 1/2 inch larger.
My hips and abdomen are 1 inch bigger.

At first I had all these thoughts... I'm right in the middle of TOM now... 2 months ago was my absolute lowest that I didn't hang on to for too long.... so I really didn't gain 6 pounds, right? WRONG.

I did really gain 6 pounds, I was really at 151.2. Enough is enough!

I'm remembering that proud feeling of losing all that weight and feeling awesome. Right now, I'm feeling the exact opposite. I don't feel awesome, I feel fat, unhealthy and pudgy and I'm certainly not proud of anything. I'm ashamed I let it happen.

I took vacation as an excuse to eat whatever I wanted and it spiraled out of control.

Still working on getting my head back in this for real. Thanks for being there team!

UHM, Jeannie, I have kids for you, but they are growing up fast. I have a 14 year old son, an almost 9 year old daughter and a 5 year old little girl, who is like a baby in every aspect. She comes with diapers, wipes, a wheelchair stroller, a med bag, a cell phone, med ID bracelet and other various important stuff and she is non-verbal! HOWEVER, she also comes with the most beautiful eyes you ever saw, the best laugh you ever heard and she can make you feel like the most important person in the world! AND I really need a vacation!!!

    HI Loree!!!:flowerforyou:

    Everybody have a great Sunday!!!

Lori, the most important thing is that you have found out and you are going to stop and return to a healthier lifestyle. I was there and I didn't - I just got depressed and said I am a failure and quit trying. Then I gained back 15 pounds and here I am again. This is hard, but in the long run it is the best thing. You can do this!!!!! Share with us, let us encourage you, lets us hold your hand if needed, but do it! You are worth it!

Woo hoo!! I am getting my grandbaby corral ready! I can just see her eyes light up when it laps at her feet! I watched a couple bring their early teen son into the water for the first time. They held him and he squeeled! The ocean was perfectly still, but clear to see to the bottom. Soft swells started when they got into the water and I swear that was God rocking that baby.

It was a sight to see!

Okay, I have decided to do it, I will be signing up for the 5K on September 12. I hope I won't change my mind again, my best friend was going to do it with me and now she can't. I will be on my own. I will probably walk alot of it, but I have decided it doesn't matter if I walk, run or crawl, all that matters is getting across the finish line!
