I sometimes add oatmeal to my smoothies, when i know i won't have time for lunch. It keeps me fuller longer. Peanut butter when I know will be going on a long endurance run or ride and protein when i go pump iron. Have fun experiment. You can hardly ever go wrong. Just be careful with the servings. Sometimes if your not careful it two servings or three and you've eating a but load of calories.0

does the cottage cheese make it chunky?
I blend it all together so there are no lumps. The cottage cheese gives it a bit of thickness, but no chunks if it's blended. I put all of my ingredients into a bowl and then I use my little hand blender to mix it all up...easy clean up plus the bowl I use has a pouring lip on it.0 -
one tip I have is try coconut milk or yogurt with it..SO yummy!!0

It keeps the topic towards the top in the message board category...kinda limits the amount of searching people have to do to find this thread.0

Plain yogurt
vanilla extract
a bit of juice or honey to sweeten
Frozen fruit there is a few different mixes I buy frozen any is good
one banana
and if it's too thick for the blender I will add some skim milk too
and then a table spoon of Organic golden flax meal it adds lots of fiber and Omegas in there.0 -
CHerbert-
You gave me an idea to make a smoothie with coffee and yogurt instead of milk. It's for my son, so I will try it with decaf and hope he likes it.
There are some great recipies here.
