I had a tiny waist in comparison to my hips and butt.

Many pear shaped women have a small waist, too. Hourglasses have a bust as well. The measurements for the classic, perfect hourglass used to be:

    Bust --X
    Waist --X-10
    Hips -- X

You're clearly an hourglass. Until reading this thread, I didn't think it was difficult to figure out.

    I'm 5'4"
    41, 35, 46

I have lost an inch off my waist and hips since I started MFP! no specific goal, I'd like to get down to size 12 though (currently 16-18).

I love my shape, but it is hard to find clothes that flatter the hourglass, sometimes I look like I'm all boobs.
    Any suggestions?

I would consider you an hourglass, too. Basically, the bust and the hips are about the same measurement, and the waist is about 9 to 10 inches less than the bust and hips.

    Currently:
    Bust 36
    Waist 25
    Hip 37

Goal (around the same as I was in my avatar):
    Bust 35
    Waist 24
    Hip 36

I tend to look a little straight though since my bottom measurement is most influenced by my rear protruding outward (bubble butt), not hip width.

    I'm 5'4"

I will note, Apple Bottom jeans are the most comfortable and flattering jeans I have found, and Fashion Bug jeans have been a close 2nd (plus size). Because I am big on top and have broad shoulders I have found tank tops with a wide shoulder band and tops with long short-sleeves and large-ish necks to be most flattering.

I am, but you can't see it right now haha. I don't know my measurements though. I need to lose about 15 inches on these hips though!

    5'4" Hourglass:

    -bust (largest point)- 39
    -waist (smallest point) - 28
    -hips (largest point) - 41

These have probably changed, I am not exactly sure when I took them. I ALWAYS lose from my waist first.

Last time I was my ideal weight i was somewhere around 35/25/36, and that would be a great place to get to again :).

Even at my highest weight (nearly 180) my waist did not exceed 30 inches, in fact I am not sure it passed 28ish -- but I am VERY hourglassy (I don't gain or lose much to my waist, it's all in the bust/hips). I am 5'4".

I am not sure if that helps!
