I've always been a super picky eater --- but after 40 had to start forcing myself to eat certain foods. Things I eat now that I gagged on before include: V8 juice, spinach, green smoothies, sweet potatoes, eggs, yogurt, almonds, Kashi cereal. Probably a lot more too!

I never thought I would consume anything without putting salt on it first, I love red pepper hummus, I now fancy mangoes and am trying more things that look "gross" but actual now like most of them!

Things I tried & didn't like as a kid: bananas (they always made me gag after like 2 bite), rice cakes, pears, cherry/grape tomatoes, cantaloupe, honeydew melon, brussels sprouts

Things I had just never tried: grapefruit, almonds, fruit & nut bars, things with little sugar, berries (besides strawberries)

I love it all now :)

peanut butter and kraft cheese sandwich

burger with bacon, fried egg, and peanut butter (lol, I know these are weird...)

oatmeal (used to hate the stuff!)

    tempeh

    greek yogurt

    salads without dressing

I have this odd affinity for anything + peanut butter. I don't care what others think about us - we were meant to be together. <3

Beets. My grandmother would serve the canned ones often and I hated them. I tried fresh beets at a health food restaurant a few years ago and love them now.

    Apples.

I thought I didn't like them, but that's because my mom always bought red apples.

Turns out, I just hadn't tried the right kind. I'm ADDICTED to Golden Delicious.

My taste buds have changed sooo much! I now eat spinach, quiona, peppers, onions, and greek yogurt. I never ate that stuff before!

exactly, brussel sprouts, kale (if a year ago you would have told me that I would be fighting over who gets the bigger portion of kale chips I would have said "whats kale") quinoa, plain yogurt, eggs (i disliked anything for breakfast that didn't come from a pastry chef and didn't have sugar), mushrooms. I didn't consider myself a picky eater....I just didn't ever give myself the opportunity to really enjoy fresh seasonal produce to its full extent.

Straight up foraged foliage and greens! My friend Paul would often go around the neighborhood and collect edible plans, and make salads out of them, with home-made dressing. They were pretty good, some are good juiced, too!
