Grocery Shopping Staples (Eating Clean)

Options
Well ive heard it alot here, Abs start in the kitchen. Im new to eating clean, what are your kitchen staples aside? Mine are chicken breat, can tuna, frozen veggies, spaghetti sauce and ground turkey. Also jar roasted red peppers, artichokes, and pickles! Im not too worried about my sodium right now, I'm mainly trying to weed out simple carbs and processed food. Im trying to come up with a nutricious list of foods to help me eat clean but i'd like imput from others who have been doing this for longer than me. Going shopping Monday! Also peek inside my diary and make suggestions, I'm up for it. Thanks

Add bananas, plain almonds, plain greek yogurt (this is clean right), salmon to name a few. Good to see someone else liking spaghetti squash.

Definitely add oats to the list (rolled, quick cook, steel cut, etc - whatever you prefer)

Absolutely! Quinoa is a complete protein and a staple of clean eating.

Quinoa, hummus, flax meal, the stoplight bell peppers (great snack and my kids like them too). English cucumbers and cherry tomatoes. And I forgot Natural Almond Butter - absolute staple in my house since my youngest is allergic to peanuts.

I am a far cry from eating really clean, but I am eating tons better. I have a new love affair with tilapia. You can do so many things with it. Fish tacos, baked, grilled, pan cooked with veggies and brown rice. And sweet potatoes too. Sliced, baked with some cumin on them! Yum! I love burgers. If you are wanting to go easy on the breads, use lettuce as a "bun" or whole grain sandwich thins. I make turkey burgers all the time. I just try to stay away from anything in a box. Unless its low fat wheat thins. I have to have those! lol
