    Quinoa is full of carbs 55g to be exact, for those low carb dieters I'd avoid it.

    My general rule for grocery shopping to eat clean: shop the perimeter of the store and if you venture into an aisle leave your cart at the end of the aisle so you don't end up tossing numerous random processed foods in it. Prepare in advance with a grocery list, and most importantly, STICK TO IT!

    I have been eating clean for about 6 weeks and lost over 20 pounds I do not eat... Sugar, or starchy or fatty foods
    also NO PROCESSED FOODS!!

    Wasa cracker
    most veggies No carrots no patatoes no corn.... rarely sweet potatoes
    eggs
    avacado
    all berries
    apples
    pears
    white fish
    Lean beef
    shrimp
    salsa fresh made
    olive oil
    butter very little
    asparagus
    canned tomato paste (no sugar added)
    onions
    almonds raw
    spinach
    and salad lettuce
    oats
    yogurt no sugar added
    sea salt
    lots of seasonings No sugar in them

    Halibut
    Wild salmon
    Steel cut oats
    Dole frozen wild blueberries
    Whey protein
    Nuts (raw)
    All sorts of veggies
    Stuff to make hummus
    Apples

    And every weekend I try to eat a steak.

    88% dark chocolate

    85% dark chocolate - not clean, but gets us through those sweet cravings...awesome w/ almonds!

    Have you tried the dark chocolate roasted almonds?
