Since May 2011 I've lost 4" from my bust, 5 1/2" from my waist and 4 1/4" from my hips. On May 3rd, 2011 (it just happens to be exactly one year ago today that I started going to the gym!) I weighed 162.0 lbs, and on Monday I weighed 136.7 lbs for a total of 25 lbs lost! It has taken me a long time, but I only started getting really serious about the weight loss in January.

    Jan 2010 to Jan 2012 - 45 lbs

Now I'm down about 36 lbs.

I would like to lose another 15 -20 lbs. I still have a ways to go. I started lifting a few months ago in hope that I would start slim down even more. I'm getting stronger but haven't lost a lot of inches.

From St Patricks Day of this year I have lost 28 lbs.

Lifestyle change, bit of gym, better choices and addressing the issues behind my eating.

WOW - what are you doing that you've lost 28 lbs ince March?

I have always had a really fast metabolism, I just went a bit mental with my eating and put on FIFTY lbs in two years.

Like I could eat out or have fast food four times a week, lots of bad snacks, not having breakfast, lots of coca cola, the works.

So if just cut all that down, I still have a pizza at the weekend, I still have a bit of chocolate , but I eat really well now.

Drinking lottttts of water, hitting the gym three times a week. I cant believe it myself how quickly its falling off me but the little changes I have made have really made a difference to me. I lost about 16 lbs in the first month!

This time last year I weighed between 175-189. I was not happy with that weight but got used to it so I got into that "who cares?" mentality. Then I moved away from home and my desk job turned into a work at home in sweatpants job. I kept gaining and gaining until I realized that moderation wasn't going to put a dent into what I needed to lose. I started MFP after I hit my highest weight of 216.6 on Feb 20th 2012.
So now I am down 24.2 pounds and almost at the weight I was the month I moved out of state. I usually get lazy at around the 175 mark. This time I am NOT...I repeat NOT stopping. I killed the binging habit and tested myself at a casino last week. I managed not to fall off the wagon. The person who used to drink herself sloppy and eat all manner of fatty awful has now got it under control. That is actually what I am most proud of at the moment. My final goal is 125, but I am going to be elated when I hit 169 because, well, I havent been that small since my very young 20s.

Wow that's awesome. I've never been able to take off weight that fast. I drink a ton of water a day. I go to the gym about 5 times a week and some of those days I get about 90 min in weights/cardio. I just seem to be at a stand still right now.

Thank you! I'm proud of myself so far, it took a long time to get the willpower and strength to do something about it. My weight gain was like an elephant in the room, literally ha.

I'm sure you're doing all the right things, as you get smaller it gets really hard to drop the weight you did with ease at first. Im only losing about a lb a week now

I am soooo looking forward to it. is the difference between 170-160 more noticable than 180-170? Maybe this is a silly question, but since I havent seen that range in years, I would love to hear your experience so far.

I have just hit the 160s...., 168 to be precise and feels AMAZING. I know it is just a number but I feel so much more confident already. Today I wore something that I wouldnt have wore until now because I felt that people would say 'she doesnt have the figure for that'... I usually just wore black.

Now I am getting EXCITED to go shopping, and find nice clothes, and not go into a shop and dread what size I will be able to squeeze into in this shop.

Ah you will be so delighted when you get here. I still have a bit of a way to go, but the journey is enjoyable, full of little victories.

I cant pinpoint the physical difference between 178 and 168, but the mental difference is amazing.

    Since 1-6-12:
I've gone from eating every sample at Costco to just the ones I really want.
I've gone from thinking logging calories wouldn't matter to logging everything.
I've gone from never exercising to working out 6x's a week.
I've gone from eating til it makes me sick to weighing my portions out.
I've gone from being even higher than my last pregnancy to below my pre-pregnancy weight.
I've gone from being unable to do 30ds without lots of breaks to virtually no breaks needed.
I've gone from no muscle definition to biceps I can see when not flexing.
I've gone from thinking maybe I can do this to actually believing it.

Oh yeah. And I've gone from 177lbs to 153. More to go!

I'm down 25-27 lbs depending on if my weigh in is in the a.m. or p.m. I've gone from being a fat vegetarian to a slightly overweight vegan. I have a long way to go still, but I'm ALMOST 1/2 way there. I feel healthier, I sleep better, I have less food "issues" and although I miss cheese so much, it's not so much that I want to go back to my bad habits and emotional eating. I started this time mid January and I finally feel like I am serious and dedicated. SO excited to get back to being skinny... I think the hardest part is just the wait! Eat right, exercise and patiently wait while all the nasty fat disolves off my body.

I had lost 110 lbs. After I had our second son, I noticed that I began to fall off track. My husband kind of did, too (lol). I stepped on the scale on March 11th of this year, before going shopping with my sisters... and I saw that I had gained so much weight, I was only at -54 lbs. That was the day I opened my eyes again. I'm back up to -73 with lots of goals in sight. I won't ever give up on myself again.
