    Hi Everyone! Whew! So happy to have the weekend here! I did very well on portion control today & even got in a mini-workout (only 200 calories burned - but at least something!).

    Tomorrow is filled with Little League Opening day parade & both of my boys have games. Happy to spend as much time outdoors! Hope I can fit in a workout somewhere (I've got a meeting @ 8AM, Parade @ 10:30AM, 12PM game & 1PM game). My 5 year old has no interest in playing, so she & I may get in some walking or may head over to the park for a bit. Ah, the exciting life of me! (LOL).

    Last week I almost got depressed....but this week I started noticing real differences in my body...my tummy is smaller than ever!!!

    I'm really happy.
    Going to get dressed now, 'cause I'm going to a wedding today. No exercise today, but I promise tomorrow I'll get back to it.

    I'm looking forward to today. Its the start of the sailing season and i'm out sailing all day! Will be great fun and burn calories. Especially as it's so cold here today. There is snow being forecast, which is really weird in May. It'll be so good being out on the water again.

    This week, I started using a new scale. It's the Aria that goes along with the fitbit. Anyway, this scale weighs me 3.5 pounds heavier than my antiquated scale that had no decimal points. So instead of meeting my minigoal (which I would have met), I am logging in .7 higher than last week! Looking forward to next week's weigh in!

    Oh holy crap! So I participated in my local USO's Photo Scavenger hunt today where we had to walk all over base and take pictures of things on the list. I walked for a total of 4 hours 10 minutes, 10.3 miles and burned 1463 calories! My daily calories is only 1570! And the sucky part is that when I finished it was 1 pm and I hadn't eaten anything in the past 4 hours (although I did consume 10 cups of water walking around in the sun) and I could hardly eat lunch at all. I wound up eating my side item as my lunch and then saving the sandwich for dinner. By the time I finished that I had only consumed about 19 net calories for the day because of all the calories burned from my walk. >_< So then I decided to treat myself to a (horrible for myself but oh so wonderfully delicious) sundae from Baskin Robbins. It was totally worth the 1,000 calories. Haha

    But yeah, I've never walked that much in one day in my life. It was crazy intense but I had a lot of fun all in the name of a good cause. I think if I were to participate in another one though that I would want to do it on a bicycle so I would have a better chance at actually winning a prize. :)

    Well I was asked to share my snack ideas.......my main problem time of the day is after work (late afternoon) and I especially have a problem if I'm driving the hour up to the mountain house after work. I eat lunch at 11:30 so my trainer says I need some energy because by 3:00 I should be snacking on something. If I have something like fruit that you eat quickly, i get tired on the last part of the ride so I was wanting a salty crispy snack and just kept eating and eating.

    Now I have 1 Weurthers hard butterscotch candy, which lasts a bit, and then I have a bag with one portion of Carbmaster multigrain crackers while drinking water. These crackers can be found in Wall Mart or some grocery stores. They are gluten free for those that might like that and are low in sodium and calories.

    I also found out from a friend, that if you drive bare footed, you tend to stay more alert.......I'm for anything that keeps me from driving odff the road...lol

    I'm exhausted. I started my period and my back is killing me. I told the landlord today that I can't clean another apartment until Monday...I want to RELAX for ONE day before I have to go back to work Monday night. 3 apartments came available all at once and that is why I've been cleaning so much. The only problem with that is my full time job is 12 hour night shift...and you can imagine how much sleep I got this past week.

    I jumped on the scale when I got back from cleaning the one apartment and was happy to see a loss. FINALLY got my groove back and I'm back to losing. I won't lie...I was getting a little frustrated. Now I gotta play some catch up to everyone on my friends list weight loss....I've been so busy I just couldn't get a moment to stop and take a look.     Sailing was great but i can't believe how many sore muscles i have today! It aches to move! BUt i guess its good for me?! Will weigh in tomorrow and see if i've managed to continue to loose this weekend. On friday i was down 2. But don't know what it'll look like tomorrow!

    Congrats to the losers and the ones trying, I think I gained weight because I really really binged for a couple of days. Its pre-finals, I just feel very overwhelmed...well finals start Monday and hopefully I will too busy to snack on junk.

    Thanks purple...I slept all night :) Felt really good. I was averaging about 3 hours a day last week of sleep. :/ As for your finals...that is so stressful! I remember those days....I think I binged so much I was sick the next day! Of course I'm an emotional eater, so things like that usually put me way over on calories. Hope next week goes smooth for you, keep us updated on how your doing through the week.

    I am thrilled to have kept up with my mini goal!! I tried the Olivia Method this week. I don't know why it was so hard for me to wrap my head around it the first couple of times I read about it, but it is making more sense now. I can see why people feel like they have more control. I am going to keep at it and see if it keeps working for me. Well, gotta go -- Congratulations to all the losers this week & if you maintained or gained keep with what you know is right & it will start moving again for you.

    0.8lbs increase! :sad: A whole lot of reasons... Over my calories a couple days, joints are acting up so not much exercise and TOM is visiting.     BUT the good news is that this week was a much better improvement from the past weeks.

    Hi everyone.

    I seem to be having problems here. The more I follow the MFP the more weight I seem to be putting on. Had a real good two week started C25K and have been doing it for two weeks. I have been eating my calories but darn I have put weight on and I,m really fed up.
    I was reading last night about zigzag and went on to e site recommended. On putting in my details it tells me I need an additional 200 calories for me to lose some fat so I'm going to give it a try. If I don't I know i will become disheartened and the good I have done will be lost. Looking at this record it does seem the more exercise I do is when I gain. So watch this space and will see how I go on.

    I'm not too disappointed about this. I went to the gym last Monday and after about half an hour started to feel very light headed and black spots began to form in my vision. I took this as my cue to leave and after a lot of googling and looking through my food diary I realised I probably wasn't eating enough and beginning to suffer from over training (symptons are no progress in workouts for a few weeks, struggling with your normal workout, not sleeping well, loss of appetite etc). I decided to take a week off from the gym, it turned into just 4 days but I feel a lot better and my workout was amazing! I've started to eat an extra 200-300 calories a day so I'm glad this week was not a gain. I took my 4 weekly measurements earlier and even though I am only 2lbs down I have lost 5.8 inches :D Totally chuffing at that! As for the challenges I didn't manage to do 30 minutes of exercise while resting but I did ensure a lot of me time! I had my interview Friday which went quite well but they have a lot more to do so just going to cross my fingers for now.

    Well done to everyone that lost especially those that met their goals! Good luck to those in different time zones who are yet to weigh :D

    Well, I did not reach my mini goal, but the scale did go down! I'm going to try to do better with both food and workouts this week and see how that goes. I'm just biding my time for 2 more weeks until school is done and I have much more time to focus on me and my final goal!! I hope everyone has had a great week and success with their losses!
