I want to take my son to see the movie but he's only 4. What's your opinion on taking a 4 year old boy? He's such a superhero junkie right now.
Hmmmm...I honestly think that it's not the place for him. The movie was made for an older crowd, so I doubt he'll get a lot of the humor.
A kid doesn't have to grasp the humor to enjoy the film, and there was no "adult" humor, language, sex or nudity.

I took my 8 year-old girl to the midnight showing. She was thrilled, but was too tired to make it through the whole thing.

Did not expect to see Thanos at the end , does this mean the silver surfer will be in the next one?

Nope...20th Century Fox has the rights to Norrin Radd.

But we might get The Infinity Gauntlet in Avengers 2...It was shown in the Asgardian armory in Thor!

Admittedly I'm not super into superhero movies or comic books, but my fiance really wanted to see it and I went with him. I was pleasantly surprised! It was definitely entertaining and fun, and the plot was simple enough for me to keep up, which is saying something! (I tend to get lost during action movies...) LOL :)

    Who's up for some shawarma?

    Seriously...L....O....L.

I loved the movie. :) The man candy helped, but everything worked really well together.

And since I'm not a comic book buff, who was that red guy during the credits? I'm gathering it's another Marvel villan.

My husband informed us it was Thanos and it apparently blew his mind. I know not why or who Thanos is, really.

The movie was fah-reaking awesome. It's probably the only thing that I would have left my baby to see. Love me some Thor and Iron Man! And Mark Ruffalo was amazing as Bruce Banner, loved him.

Silver Surfer is owned by Fox, so not any time soon. It's all a mess. http://screenrant.com/marvel-comics-movies-characters-carl-6766/

I LOVED IT. It was verry entertaining, I loved the humour - I was thrilled that it wasn't one fight/explosion after another. I thought the 3D was executed very well, also! :)

I took my son to see it this weekend. I watched it first on opening night to make sure it was "clean" enough for a 4 year old. He loved the action and laughed as hard as I did with the humor. That and he just loves seeing his favoritie superheroes on the big screen. He is still talking about the movie.

I like it! I love the bonus scenes (both of them). I love movies that don't take themselves so seriously. Can't WAIT for Expendables 2.

Saw it in 3D. Loved it! LOVED IT!

    Hawkeye...mmm mmm mmm - Delicious!

I also loved the Batman trailer. I was in my glory!

    Ohh an spiderman too.

    Comic Book/Superhero geek girl here!
  • Went to the midnight premier! It was glorious! Mark Ruffalo did a fantastic job as Bruce Banner, not that Ed Norton was bad, but... I really liked Mark's version and he really made the Hulk this sort of fleshed out, loveable character. As loveable as you can be for a big, green, rage monster. Needless to say, I'm totally going again to see it!

Hawkeye was pretty mediocre. I don't get the hype around Renner. I've yet to see any charisma in him. I've seen him in this and MI:Ghost Protocol.

It was amazing! Of course, I expected no less from Joss Whedon. :)
On a side note, so much man-candy. Don't know who I like better, Captain America or Thor. Even Loki is kindof sexy in a bad boy way... :blushing:

I hear "The Hurt Locker" was the movie that really launched his career, though I haven't seen that one. I did like him in "The Town", though, and I also remember him in S.W.A.T. and 28 Weeks Later playing basically the same soldier type of character.

I enjoyed it immensely. I expected it to be great and it exceeded my expectations. It is not my favorite movie based on a comic book (The Dark Knight takes that honor), but it is close.
