I'm 32, have never had a car and never plan to :p
Do you live in the city or some place small enough to get around on foot/bike? I couldn't imagine not having a car, I'd never make it anywhere!

I haven't driven my car in over two months. Here in Chicago, we have a great public transportation system...and some of the highest gas prices in the land.
I bet that's nice. I live in Orlando, Fl. and we don't have anything but busses and the nearest bus stop is about a 45 minute walk from my apartment! But I don't mind driving, nothing is all that far away either.

My college roommate was from the Orlando area (Winter Park). Very cool town. We used to stay there a few days during spring break when we'd head down there.

It's nice not having to drive, though I miss it at times. Too damn congested, especially this time of year.
That's actually really close to where I'm at. My last job was in Winter Park! I moved over here from a smaller town about an hour away to go to college two years ago.

1994 Toyota Tercel - Not sure what color it was because everyone argued over whether it was green or blue. I think it was green - an awful shade of green. It had been rear-ended twice and totaled - the back bumper was no longer straight and was held on by roofing screws; the tail lights were held in by duct tape; and every time it rained, I had to use the shop vac to remove the water from the trunk or listen to water sloshing in there for weeks. No one could sit in the back seat because it was always soggy. It smelled awful. The cloth from above my head hung in my face, and when I had the window down I had to wear shades so the foamy stuff holding it up wouldn't blow off in my eyes. I couldn't see out of three of the windows because the tint had bubbled badly. It had an exhaust leak and roared. It went 0-60 in about 10 minutes. I loved that car because I live in Texas, and the a/c was so cold it spit out ice. About 2 months after I sold it, it caught fire and burnt to a shell. I cried. - I put about 1,000 miles a week on this car while I had her, and she only broke down about once a month. Once had to have a friend tow her almost 200 miles so I could get home, yet I still miss her. We called her my little ghetto cruiser. sigh...

I almost forgot, since I saw a few camaro's and firebird's. I actually have the car I wanted now, well not the exact car, but close. A 1984 Pontiac Firebird, I have been restoring for a couple of years. I have grey interior, with a golden orange paint on it, still more work to do, just guesing, about $1,000.

A red 1996 Nissan 200sx. I stopped driving it because I got in a minor accident and the front bumped came off. I tried to start it a couple months later and it wouldnt start so I sold it for $300 for parts. The guy that came to look at it, bought, then poured some gas in it and it worked just fine. I wasn't the brightest crayon in the box.

    Wow *Facepalm* :noway: lol

I bought my first car from my mom in 2003 and it was a Ford Tempo 1993. The motor gave up on me the same year and it was as expensive as the car to get a new motor, so I gave it up.

A 1969 Mini. It was racing green and had two holes in the floor pan which were covered up by plastic sheeting and news papers with car mats on top. When I was taking my driving test it was in torrential rain and I just prayed that the water didn't seep into the car. Thankfully we - the Mini and I - passed the test without incident.

I only had the Mini for a year (after which my love affair with VWs began) but I'll never forget it!

1976 Chevy Camaro - lemon yellow. Paid $3,500 for it in 1983. A good, solid car for a first time driver - voice of experience talking. Had it for 2 years before I sold it to my cousin who painted in navy blue.

Mine was a white 1996 Honda Accord EX-R, I named her Sachiko - "Child of Good Fortune". ****in' beauty! By the time I ran her into the ground (not my fault!! bad repair job after hitting a deer!), she was 11 years old and had half a million kms on her!
I love my new car (2007 Honda Fit Sport, named Akane - "Brilliant Red") but I still miss my Sachiko!

Mine was a 1979 Chevy Monte Carlo with the INFAMOUS 305 with a Holley Quadra-Jet. Gas was 95 cents a gallon then and i could fill it up for the same price I fill my Pontiac Vibe up for now. The lifters ticked, it had the chevy oil leak, and no speedometer. I loved that car. My dad and I painted it Interstate sign green with chrome saw blades and firestone firehawk white letter tires. I miss that car everyday. I once had to drive it home 30 miles in rush hour traffic with just the emergency brake because a caliper seized and overheated causing me to lose all brake pressure. But she got me home in one piece. They don't make cars like that anymore. LONG LIVE THE BIG GREEN MONTE!!!!!

82 Ford Fairmont, bright canary yellow with tan seats. Didn't have air, had am radio. Gas gauge didn't work, so we had to write down our milage in a little notebook to see when we were getting low on gas. Had to share it with my sister...
