I used to weigh almost 300 pounds.
My tummy isn't perfect - there is some loose skin and stretch marks, but I'm pretty damn proud of it:

The first month I did mostly cardio and the second month I started lifting heavy (Stronglifts 5x5 program) 3x a week and light cardio on my off days. I still have lots of progress to make and am currently netting around 1700 cals with my macros set to 30P/45C/25F. Currently I'm at 28% bf, wanting to get down to around 19%. i started at almost 34%. Good luck!!

I started at 150 and started loosing weight, getting down to whatever this is:
    292367_10150254652871829_609976828_7929004_5058523_n.jpg

got to 120 sedentary and then started exercising more.

Here I made a tummy pic thread just then (difference from sedentary to exercises in a few weeks)

Weight training is certainly the secret. Look on my profile, I don't have a tummy shot from before but you can see one of my befores where I was 170. I lost weight down to my pre pregnancy weight and my stomach was still huge! My belly pics show my start of weight training in the past 3 months and how much my stomach has shrank as a result. It is not great, but certainly alot better than it was before, with only losing 4lbs from the 1st to last pic.

Since I have a tummy problem- but can't do a gym membership AND I don't have any weight machines...what can I do at home- instead of cardio?

It may sound silly but it really works. My friends mum would lift baked bean cans! Then she would place them in a bag and lift more of them while doing crunches! The result was rather amazing.

This is great. The before pic reminds me of where I was a month ago, and I'd love to look like the after! Your waist is tiny.

Don't really have a before and after photo because I avoided pics so well but this is me after I started losing weight:

    29051_401344826964_594333_n.jpg
    And this is me now:
    13599033_3693.jpg13599033_4052.jpg

    Stats:

    Height: 5'7
    Weight: 120lbs
    Daily NET: 1700 calories
  • I'm new here but avoiding white flour, sugar of any kind and alcohol really helps. Don't be afraid of healthy fats like avocado, raw nuts and olive oils.
